More TextIndexNG at Plone
by Juan Manuel Ruiz García 15 Aug '03

Hi, now that I've TextIndexNG running on my Plone, I've replaced TextIndex-SearchableText index with a TextIndexNG called also SearchableText (at portal_catalog) but... what attributes should be indexed? (data?) I have several mssword docs uploaded to my plone site, but when I try to make a search, no results are returned.. is there anything more I should do? I've enabled converters when I define the TextIndexNG index, but I don't know if this is enough. Please, help me. Andreas, I'm sorry about making so many newbie-questions, but I'm really lost with all of this. Just one thing: I think it's legal to redistribute the msvcr71.dll, it's a library needed if you create an application with MS Visual Studio - it don't make sense if you develope one application but you cannot distribute files it depends on... Indexed attributes data Default encoding iso-8859-15 Stemmer spanish Splitter: casefolding enabled Splitter: index single characters disabled Splitter: max. length of splitted words 64 Splitter: separator characters .+-_@ Default query parser PyQueryParser Stopwords spanish Normalizer None Use converters enabled Near distance 5 Left truncation disabled Debug mode off

I can't even find the prefix attribute documented anywhere. Thanks for pointing it out. Unfortunately, either I still don't get it or I'm doing something else wrong. My new code snippet looks like this: <dtml-in expr="objectValues('Folder')" prefix=seq sort=title_or_id> <dtml-var seq_coach_id><br> Now I get a key error on seq_coach_id. I know there's a property called coach_id associated with every folder over which I'm iterating. So what am I missing now? I appreciate the help more than I can say, by the way. This syntactical soup is very trying, esp. when someone comes up with a solution like this that I couldn't have found in a million years as far as I can tell! Without this list, I'd have bailed on Zope a year ago!

Returning a protected file
by Jean Jordaan 15 Aug '03

15 Aug '03

Hi all I want an anonymous user to request an URL like: http://anon:9999/feko/get?key=IM5R5M&file=foo.tar.gz If the URL contains an acceptable key the 'get' method, which has a proxy role of Manager, returns 'foo.tar.gz' from a folder where anonymous doesn't have view rights. I don't want anonymous to get the file without the key. This almost works, but the file is returned with the name 'get', instead of 'foo.tar.gz'. Any idea how to get the file returned under the correct name? TIA, -- Jean Jordaan http://www.upfrontsystems.co.za

RE: [Zope] TextIndexNG

I found it... This will interest anyone trying to make it run under Windows 2000: You might need to put msvcr71.dll in your \WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory because extensions probably were built using Visual Studio .NET 2003 and they look for that file that contains some necessary libraries (msvcr71.dll is simply the Visual C++ runtime library) So, put the extensions at the Python directory and everything works... You can find that file, for example at: http://justkez.com/pistos/hydrairc/msvcr71.dll -----Mensaje original----- De: Andreas Jung [mailto:andreas@andreas-jung.com] Enviado el: domingo, 10 de agosto de 2003 14:21 Para: Juan Manuel Ruiz Garcia Asunto: Re: [Zope] TextIndexNG No idea, i am not running Zope on WinXX. -aj --On Sonntag, 10. Syntax for dtml-in property check?
by Dan Shafer 15 Aug '03

15 Aug '03

I'm tripping over what seems like should be fairly straight-forward syntax. Hopefully someone here can point out what I'm overlooking. Situation: I have a folder that contains a bunch of folders, each of which has a property named "coach_id" that I've created and updated programmatically. Task: I have one user who is allowed to see the contents of all folders. All other users are restricted to folders where they are the Coach (i.e., where their AUTHENTICATED_USER== the coach_id of a particular folder). Approach: I have a DTML method that loops over all the folders and displays a list of folder links for each folder the user is authorized to see. That method works fine when I don't try to limit it by authenticated user name. I use a simple <dtml-in> construct for this purpose: <dtml-in expr="objectValues('Folder')" sort=title_or_id> I placed a <dtml-if> statement inside the <dtml-in> construct. That is where the problem is popping up. My if statement should look like this, I think: <dtml-if expr="(AUTHENTICATED_USER.getUserName() == 'Magic User') | (AUTHENTICATED_USER.getUserName() == sequence-var-coach_id)"> But I get an error from Zope indicating the public variable "sequence" isn't defined? I'm in a <dtml-in> so I *believe* sequence should have meaning. Am I wrong? I tried this with only one logic clause in case the problem was the OR syntax or logic. But this: <dtml-if expr="AUTHENTICATED_USER.getUserName() == sequence-item.coach_id"> produces the same "global variable sequence not defined" error. If i hard-code a name into that same sequence, the operation works but, of course, does not filter on the coach_id. <dtml-if expr="AUTHENTICATED_USER.getUserName() == 'Magic User'"> It seems evident that I'm missing something about how <dtml-in> works. I have believed that in the midst of a <dtml-in> I'm iterating over a sequence that is represented by the built-in Zope variable, "sequence." Evidently I'm wrong. Can anyone help? I feel like I'm just guessing at random possibilities now. Obviously time to raise a white flag. (I have to say, this happens so often with Zope that I often wonder if I'm just too dense to get good at this. I try to read and follow docs, but things just always end up slightly out of phase for me.)
