Server restarting
by Kevin Carlson 30 Apr '03

30 Apr '03

I noticed today that one of our servers restarted itself for "no apparent reason". I'm sure that there is a reason and I'm hoping someone can help decipher the following event message: 2003-04-29T20:04:00 ERROR(200) zdaemon Process 13671 terminated by signal SIGSEGV(11) I'm running Zope 2.6.0 on Redhat 7.1 and Python 2.1.3 Thanks, Kevin

Problems with ZopeSSL
by Mark Wheaton 29 Apr '03

29 Apr '03

Hi, I am running Zope 2.6.1 on Windows XP Pro. I am trying to get an SSL server running using the m2crypto stuff, following the instructions here: http://www.zope.org/Members/Ioan/ZopeSSL I have got it to a point where the SSL server starts up OK, and the web browser can conenct and do the initial key/certificate negotiation (as shown by browser popups complaining about the cert being out of date) The problem is that no content is visible in either the root or under /manage, and the console has the following error messages. I've tried it with both Mozilla and IE and the same thing happens with both browsers. Anyone got any idea what's going on? Thanks in advance, Mark --- 2003-04-29T13:26:45 INFO(0) ZServer recv: closing channel <ZServer.HTTPS_Server. zhttps_channel connected 127.0.0.1:2412 at 0xae26ac channel#: 0 requests:> unexpected eof ------ 2003-04-29T13:27:10 INFO(0) ZServer recv: closing channel <ZServer.HTTPS_Server. zhttps_channel connected 127.0.0.1:2413 at 0xae26ac channel#: 1 requests:> (0, 'Error') --- _____________________________________________________________________ This message has been checked for all known viruses by the RMS Services Ltd Virus Scanning Service. RE: [Zope] Data.fs file growing
by TANNERT,CARSTEN (HP-Germany,ex1) 29 Apr '03

Hi, you have the possibility to pack the database, that means the data.fs file in your control panel under database management. Normally this will help to shrink the file a lot. -----Original Message----- From: Patel, Tejash [mailto:Tejash.Patel@dowjones.com] Sent: Dienstag, 29. April 2003 17:54 To: zope(a)zope.org Subject: [Zope] Data.fs file growing Hello All, My data.fs is growing larger then I expected, currently it's at 1.8 gig. Is there a way I can shrink or clean it out. I think I now why my file is increasing this fast. I have a ftp batch script to upload documents to the site. The documents are always at my client server, meaning they are uploaded every time the batch script is run. Is there a fix to this? Thank you in advance. LDAPUserFolder and SMD5 encryption
by Braun Brelin 29 Apr '03

29 Apr '03

Hello, I'm trying to use LDAPUserFolder with a customer's Zope instance. The customer is also using SuSE mail. SuSE mail apparently insists that the OpenLDAP encryption scheme be in the SMD-5 format. I don't see any option to use SMD-5 in LDAPUserFolder The only options I see are SHA, SSHA and crypt. Am I stuck here? Thanks, Braun Brelin ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/
