I used the SESSION variable. In page 1 and page 2, you can pass the form variables like this: <dtml-let sesdat="session_data_manager.getSessionData()"> <dtml-call "sesdat.set('var1',value1)"> <dtml-call "sesdat.set('var2',value2)"> ... </dtml-let> In the DTML used by ZGDChart, you can read the variables like this: <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('graphdata',[])"> <dtml-let data="session_data_manager.getSessionData()"> <dtml-call "graphdata.append(datuak.get('var1'))"> <dtml-call "graphdata.append(datuak.get('var2'))"> ... </dtml-let> <dtml-return graphdata> Hope it helps. Subject is a KeywordIndex, and I'm not sure what the appropriate way to do an 'and' search on a KeywordIndex is, since the default behavior when passed two terms is an 'or' type of behavior. misc_ trick needs Zope 2.6?
by THerp＠apriori.de 29 Apr '03

Hi, I have created a Zope product integrating htmlArea 2.03 into Zope (http://www.zope.org/Members/to_be/htmlarea) which uses the misc_ dictionary and ImageFile to provide the needed Images and html popups. This works fine with Zope 2.6.1. However, this doesn't seem to work with Zope 2.5. Any ideas why (and how to change this)? tia, Tobias -- (sorry for any unfriendly footer added automatically against my wishes... please ignore it!) ZGDChart tips?
by Scott Krajewski 29 Apr '03

Hello, I'm trying to utilize ZGDChart to make some graphs of data from a PostgreSQL database. The website users go through 1 to 3 pages of forms to specific what data they want a report on and then the numbers are generated in the final action DTML method. I really want to have a graph on that page and so far have found ZGDChart as a tool. Unfortunately it looks to me like none of the data methods work for my situation: DTML-method : the method in the chart needs to receive variables to get the data, I can't find a way to pump them in Tiny Table: If I could insert data into a TinyTable with my final method action it would work, But that doesn't appear to be how TinyTable works ZSQL Query: need to pass variables into the query. It's not a vanilla lookup but a calculation too. Python Script: Can't say I know enough about python to try, but it looks like I'd run into the same variable problems. Any suggestions? Any other products out there for generating graphs in Zope? thanks, Scott

AW: [Zope] Virtual hosting w/out Apache for Zope newbies?
by Germer, Carsten 29 Apr '03

Urgh, I seem to have sent my first mail into the null-device :) here it is once more You just need a "Virtual Host Monster" in your Zopes root. It's in the distribution and comes with needed docu. <snip> You could get the same effect in a standalone Zope by adding the line www.buystuff.com/buystuff.com to the "Mappings" tab. In either case, requests for http://www.buystuff.com/anything will look for Zope object /buystuff.com/anything. </snip> > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: Frederic Faure [mailto:ffaure@bigfoot.com] > Gesendet: Dienstag, 29. catalog query
by Sébastien Georget 29 Apr '03

Hi, I'm trying to query my portal_catalog for documents having 'kw1 AND kw2' in the Dublin Core Subject field. It works well when I'm doing full-text queries, but it returns no document when I'm trying on Dublin Core fields. Is it the expected behaviour ? is it possible to change it ? It seems that portal_catalog has many parameters, is there one to change the default behaviour (match any keyword) to a match-all-keywords behaviour ? thx Sébastien Georget http://purl.org/NET/Georget/Sebastien

Thanks for you all guys, I went from 1.8 gig to 66 mb for the data.fs It worked, the packing also created a data.fs.old file. I will keep it for a week incase the site has any problem, then I will delete if all is well. -----Original Message----- From: Andreas Jung [mailto:andreas@andreas-jung.com] Sent: Tuesday, April 29, 2003 11:59 AM To: Patel, Tejash; zope(a)zope.org Subject: Re: [Zope] Data.fs file growing ControlPanel -> Database Management -> Pack -aj --On Dienstag, 29. Hello All, My data.fs is growing larger then I expected, currently it's at 1.8 gig. Is there a way I can shrink or clean it out. I think I now why my file is increasing this fast. I have a ftp batch script to upload documents to the site. The documents are always at my client server, meaning they are uploaded every time the batch script is run. Is there a fix to this? Thank you in advance. TP

You have to modify the product slightly and remove the Reference to InterfaceBase. I have a modified version, that works. If you can't get arround, let me know and I'll sent you the modified one. At 17:30 29/04/2003 +0200, you wrote: >The mappings tab has been there since v2.4.0, which is something like one >and a half years, so it's there, trust me. Look harder. :) Thx everyone. It's up and running :-) For those newbies out there : 1. The VHM object is part of the distribution now, so just create a new VHM object in the root folder. Any ID will do 2. In the Mappings tab of the VHM, add eg. www.site-b.com/site-b 3. In the root folder, create a folder called /site-b to host the document tree for that virtual site 4. In /site-b, add a DTML Method with ID = index_html 5. Aim your browser at http://www.site-b.com . You're in business :-) Thx again Fred.
