Different Sorting Methods using DTML-IN
by Alexander M Hottenstein 11 Aug '02

11 Aug '02

I am attempting to use several different sorting variables on a dtml-in of one type of object. Depending on several booleens that determine which sorting methods will be used. I know that I cannot use a dtml-if to determine which dtml-in to use, but do not want to have several different blocks of code for each sort that I use. Does anyone have any ideas of another way to solve this problem? - Alex Hottenstein

Tools to assist setting access permissions and proxies
by Dennis Allison 11 Aug '02

The fine grain control over access is both a virtue and a vice. | :-) Has anyone written a tool to examine a site (or a subtree of a site) and output current permission states? Even better would be a tool that would look at the site and generate the settings based upon a set of rules and policys. When a site gets complex keeping security setting correct is difficult.

Contact Management Product?
by Mark Bucciarelli 11 Aug '02

I'm looking for a Zope product that will help me keep track of phone calls and meetings that I have with people; a contact management database. Does anyone know of one? I searched zope.org and google and only came up with a solution based on ParsedXML and an XSL stylesheet. Thanks! Mark

Seems to me that you probably want to just use the system command -- import os os.system( '/usr/bin/zip res.zip' )

I'm just wondering what happens to the user's browser when this occurs? It crashes or comes a Zope error? I don't know because nobody has complained about it yet.
