Display problems

Hi, I have come across a strange problem. I have created a Zope application to collect information through a Zope form. The input form works. I also give the users the ability to update. But I notice something strange. <tr> <td width="27%">Item Number Required:</td> <td width="73%"> <input type="text" name="item_num_required" size="50" value=<dtml-var item_num_required>> </td> </tr> When get the record only the first word in the field will appear. But if I use this - <tr> <td width="27%">Part Number Required:</td> <td width="73%"> <textarea name="part_num_required" rows="1" cols="50"><dtml-var part_num_required> </textarea> </td> </tr> I see the entire field using this method. Any thoughts?? Larry McDonnell Proton Energy Systems 50 Inwood Rd. Rocky Hill, CT 06067 (860) 571-6533 ext. 531 Email:lmcdonnell@protonenergy.com www.protonenergy.com

ZClass called index_html containing index_html method
by Zope Ista 08 Aug '02

08 Aug '02

I have a ZClass that has a view method. So if I have an instance of the class called myZclass it can be called by itself and show the view method (myZclass/index_html in reality). But when I call the ZClass index_html, it doesn't like it very much. Resource not found Sorry, the requested resource does not exist. Check the URL and try again. But index_html/index_html does work. Any tips? I would like to automatically call the view method so should I call it something else or add some magic to my ZClass? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? MailHost question
by McDonnell, Larry 08 Aug '02

08 Aug '02

Hi, I am trying to understand sending an email within Zope. Using a DTML method, I basically used the example from the "book". <dtml-let lmc="'lmcdonnell(a)protonenergy.com'"> <dtml-sendmail mailhost="MailHost"> To: <dtml-var lmc> From: <dtml-var lmc> Subject: <dtml-var lmc> Hi, please take a look at my resume. </dtml-sendmail> </dtml-let> <p>Your resume was sent.</p> But my error is len() of unsized object and the documentation does not address the problem (or I can't find it). Any pointers or examples will be a big help, thanks. Larry McDonnell Proton Energy Systems 50 Inwood Rd. Hi, I try to run the product LocalFS with under Windows with Python 2.1.3. Starting Zope I get the following exception: C:\Programme\WebSite\lib\python\ts_regex.py:15: DeprecationWarning: the regex mo dule is deprecated; please use the re module import regex, regsub #, Sync C:\Programme\WebSite/bin/lib\regsub.py:15: DeprecationWarning: the regsub module is deprecated; please use re.sub() DeprecationWarning) Followed by an exception window that the python15.dll could not be found. Can anybody help me? Does anybody know, if the combination LocalFS, Windows, Zope 2.5.1 and Python 2.1.3 should be possible or if I should take another version of anything. Thanks in advance, Ulla Theiß.

I've just browsed through the 'openflow'. It looks great at initial stage. But my installation failed and no proper documentation. So, you might look at: http://www.zope.org//Members/klm/TrackerWiki/TrackerCVSInstructions

How to install PIL with Zope. I'd lile to using Photo Product on Linux. But I'm in troubled by installation of PIL with Zope2.5.1(Binary). I guess it is because I use both python1.5.2 from Redhat(7.2) and python2.1.3 from Zope(2.5.1). when I try import _imaging using PIL compiled with each python, there are different solution below: # /opt/zope/bin/python Python 2.1.3 (#1, Apr 15 2002, 11:13:45) [GCC 2.7.2.3] on linux2 Type "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> import _imaging WARNING: Python C API version mismatch for module _imaging: This Python has API version 1010, module _imaging has version 1007. >>> # /usr/bin/python Python 1.5.2 (#1, Jul 5 2001, 03:02:19) [GCC 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2 on linux-i386 Copyright 1991-1995 Stichting Mathematisch Centrum, Amsterdam >>> import _imaging Do you have any good solution ? Problems with Ms-webfolders, iis, and pcgi
by Jay, Dylan 08 Aug '02

08 Aug '02

I am trying to gain access to Zope via webdav with the MS-webfolder client. This seems to work fine when I connect to Zope directly. However I also run zope behind iis using pcgi. When I do this I get an error saying there was a problem (but not details of what that problem was. If I use DAV explorer then I can see it behind IIS just fine. From the logs I suspect that webfolders is getting properties on the pcgi script or it's folder from IIS and denying me based on that rather than looking at the full url. Anyone know a way around all this? A related question is, anyone know how to make MS-frontpage play nice with Zope webdav?

Re: [Zope] Zope Help

Chris McDonough: "The original aim of the Zope Book was to provide "instant gratification" to its reads by way of introducing simple applications straight away. But I've found that, by far, the people who are reading and commenting on the book want more often to know *why* something is the way it is than how to do it once by example." ...I don't need to know *why* I need to now *all* in order to do more complex things. The API and Refference are not complete... What is to be done?
