Problems with LocalFS again
by Philipp Giere 05 Apr '02

Hello! Last tim I forgot to include the traceback in the mail, sorry for that ... I try to add an LocalFS Object with an python-product. My code looks like this: from Products.LocalFS.LocalFS import manage_addLocalFS def addLocalFS(self, id, title, basepath, username=None, password=None, REQUEST=None): manage_addLocalFS(self, id, title, basepath, username=None, password=None, REQUEST=None) def manage_addUPortal(self,id,title,base_location,basepath, RESPONSE=None): ... # Add LocalFS addLocalFS(newObj.Linkliste, 'Bilder', 'Bilderordner auf lokalem Filesystem', basepath) What is the error? Re: [Zope] redirection from within forms with submit button

Hello Oliver, > had just a very quick glance at your method, but perhaps I've spotted it. > <dtml-in "decrQuery(_.None, _, datum=(_.str(datum)))" size=1 start=teller> > Why should this datum (in _.str(datum)) be known to zope? I thought it was needed to feed back again the date information. Bad thinking and probably an example of mindlessly copying some code from another method. The warnings about the global name 'datum' are gone now when I press the submit button: i get a blank screen, which is much more user-friendly. Hope it has taught me something about needlessly throwing in unneeded variables, though. Thanks, cheers, Dirk

ZGDChart refresh
by Igor Leturia 05 Apr '02

05 Apr '02

Hi all! I'm showing a ZGDChart in a page. The chart obtains the data from a DTML Method, but even if the data change the chart doesn't. I mean that even if I show that page with other parameters, the chart is always the same (the first it showed). It seems like there is a problem with the cache and it doesn't refresh the chart. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Igor Leturia

HTML Form processing
by Colin Fox 05 Apr '02

05 Apr '02

Hi all. I'm doing a bunch of HTML form processing, and part of that is allowing the user to select a number of elements from a multi-select list. If the user selects 2 or more items, I get a python list back, which is great. I can use a <dtml-in ...> to process it. The problem is, if only one item is selected, I *don't* get a list, and my <dtml-in ...> barfs, complaining that I can't pass it a string. Is there any way I can FORCE the value to be a list, even if there's only one element? Or maybe make dtml just "shut up and do it", or do I have to have some kind of hacky dtml? Or do I have to abandon dtml for this and go for a script? Thanks, Colin -- Colin Fox cfox(a)crystalcherry.com CF Consulting Inc. GPG Fingerprint: D8F0 84E7 E7CC 5C6C 9982 F1A7 A3EB 6EA3 BC97 572F

what time is it ?
by mtobindougan 05 Apr '02

05 Apr '02

Can anyone explain why I get these strange results: ZopeTime = <dtml-var ZopeTime><br> gives : ZopeTime = 2002/04/05 10:02:41.694 GMT+2 and Bobobase_modification_time = <dtml-var bobobase_modification_time> gives Bobobase_modification_time = 2002/04/04 16:39:58.2995 GMT+2 when at the time of editing we were effectively at the time given by ZopeTime, so in my mind both should be the same? NB Our time zone is France (GMT + 2) Thanks

What about setting up a permission "can see full error message" and just deny that for anonymous. A customizable standard_error_message would do too, I think. cheers, oliver
