Experiences with big ZODB?

I tested ZODB with a size of 2GB with a own python product for zope. My experience is that it can be used for applications if you design your product right (Using BTrees) and if you have a python with support for large files. Are there any problems I might experience with such a big ZODB (about 8GB)? I have to decide whether to use ZODB or a relational database. I would prefere ZODB. Any comments? thomas

I am trying to follow this (Apache-DSO-Fastcgi-Zope-ZEO installation) howto but using python 2.2 instead of python 2.1.2. The wo_pcgi.py throws an exception as follows: Compiling extensions in lib/python cp /usr/local/lib/python2.2/config/Makefile.pre.in . cp: cannot stat `/usr/local/lib/python2.2/config/Makefile.pre.in': No such file or directory Traceback (most recent call last): File "wo_pcgi.py", line 45, in ? ASC / DESC in queries`?

Uhhhhm, dare i ask another question? What is the correct way (if any) to insert "Asc"/"Desc" arguments in a SQL statement? using dtml-var migth not be clever, since you could insert hostile code, and dtml-sqlvar quotes the values so it inserts 'DESC' instead of DESC.

frame implementation in zope

Dear List, I have a dictionary in REQUEST. <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('my_dic',{'ar_id':'Article ID','ar_head':'Head','ar_body':'Body'})"> <dtml-var "my_dic.keys()"> Zope will sort for me. How to use the original order ? Thanks in advance Terry

Time Conversion
