Hi, i tried to install a product for Zope a few days ago, and i followed some instructions. I need to compile some archives before, and this generated a .so file. Then it is said in the instructions that i must copy the .so file in the directory inside Zope of the product. So i suggest you to copy libmysqlclient.so.10 into the folder ZMySQLDA. Sorry, but it is the only idea i have. Bye. Juan

Illegal domain --again

I tried to browse through the archives and noticed that others have had similar problems sometimes, but there was no solution as far as I noticed. How to limit the number of Zope processes?

I run Zope 2.4.3 on Linux-x86. I would like to limit the number of Zserver processes that are automatically started, in order to manage my server resources. I have found the -t option which limits the number of threads per process, but I couldn't locate any configuration for the number of processes. If this is not configurable, could someone point me to the location in the code that starts new processes? Thanks, Gregory Popovitch

I'm not going to totally defend it, but when manage_ URLs are called through the web, it makes for a very easy proxy ACL to block public (or other) access to restrict who can see the ZMI. I don't understand. Did you create a new tag? or use NavigableFolder? We punted-- all our dtml trees are forced to be fully expanded at all times. Looking for a Navigation suggestion

I am moving our Intranet from native HTML pages, using includes, Into Zope. The navigation we have is the typical collapsing list on the left-side of the page. We have a LOT on our navigation and it changes frequently. Instead of duplicating our site into Zope, I wanted to re-design the Intranet to use a new layout for the navigation. cannot import library driving me mad!

Hi all, I've got a strange problem trying to start MySQL-python-0.9.0. ImportError: libmysqlclient.so.10: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Zope starts and functions okay, but is not much use with it's MySQL connection! My MySQL files seem to be in some strange places. To get MySQL-python-0.9.0 to install in the first place I had to copy all my library files from where MySQL is installed (/home/packages/MySQL-3.23.33/include got copied to /usr/include/mysql, etc), and eventually it compiled and installed without errors. I first tried changing the paths in setup.py, but it gave me "cannot find mysql.h" errors whatever paths I put, so I ended up moving all the files to /usr/include/mysql and /usr/lib/mysql, which worked. But now I have the libmysqlclient.so.10 problems! The weird thing is that this files is in /usr/lib/mysql (and a few other places!) but it does not find it. Where is this call coming from? I have scanned the above files (Application.py, db.py, etc) but can find no references. What I am trying to do is move my new Db (I've just started in Zope) from my Linux box at home to an Internet Server, a RaQ 3 running Red Hat Linux 6.2. I've got it working fine on my Linux box at home (7.1), but I didn't have to change anything there. So, it's not something stupid like using the wrong version of python as I have already configured it on one box! Anyway, any help much appreciated. Solution to MailHost / Attachment / Filename Question

I submitted a question several days ago about how to get the filename and type, ie: "FileName.rtf" to appear by the attachment icon on the recipient's email, rather than Attachment: 1 The tutorial said to use: filename_expr="resume_file.getId()", this kept producing an attribute error. So after several days of trying to figure this out, I found that: filename_expr="resume_file.filename" did the trick. (This is with the form value set to filename) Since I only got one response to my original question and that as to ask for clarification, and then no further suggestions, I thought perhaps this was something not many knew about and it might be helpful. I ran into exactly this problem. My firm usees a left-hand navigation bar, just as yours. Here is how I solved the problem. In the standard_html_header object, for the code defining the navigation bar, I include: <dtml-var navigateFolders> <dtml-ver navigateForums> <dtml-var navigateDocuments> <dtml-var navigateFolder_Specific> <dtml-var navigateStandardLinks> What the above does is call a series of DTML Methods that list (in the above case) all the Folders in a particlar folder, the Squishdot forums, the DTML Documents, any folder specific items, and then a list of standard links. Note, I could have made one big navigateEverything method, but decided against it because I would have that much more code running around when all I wanted to do was preclude one specific function. The method I have above keeps the navigation as a function of category, and is easier to manage, IMHO. In the sub folders, many of the above won't exist so nothing will be displayed (no harm there). The navigateFolder_Specific is a "catch all" DTML method that can be copied into a sub folder so that you can tailor navigation points for the specific folder in question. All of these DMTL Methods are acquired by the sub folders. This is good because you only need to create a custom navigateXXXX DTML Method when you want to override the one in the root folder. In most cases, the methods in the default folder provide the desired behavior. This makes managing the site a snap. Hope that helps.
