Anyone got some code that takes a dictionary and encodes it into a cookie?

...and vice versa? I've searched google, the NIPltd archives, the Zope site and python.org with no success. I'd like to use CST for this as it works *very* sweetly, but I'm still having major brain flips trying to tie up the CST with ZEO using the various storages that are about, and I've decided to use this *dreadful* hack until I can get my head around CST again. Preventing download of Document object

Hi, I am customising a product (Document Library). Normally, when you select the URL of one of the Document objects the contents of the document (msword, pdf file etc) is downloaded by the web browser. I want to be able to limit access to the document so that, say, an anomynous user can view... www.myzopesite.org/doclib/Documents/doc/show_extract ....but not... www.myzopesite.org/doclib/Documents/doc ...where doc is an object of the Document class in question. I can use __ac_permissions__ to authorize what methods can/can't be accessed in the Document class but how do I enable certain methods whilst barring access to the file contents of the document itself? I took the latest win32 MySQL binary from http://www.zope.org/Members/isalsberg/Binaries/Useful_binary_collection ...extracted the .pyd file into <python2.1 home>/Lib/_mysql.py And if you can't compile stuff yourself, you don't need to download MySQLDB-python, am I right? It says "Zope 2.4 Py21" which I have. For DA I used the 2.0.7 version. Hi all, This report is now available - lots of information from people who have created or bought their own VMLEs (Virtual Managed Learning Environment). It's angled toward a medical curriculum, but a lot of the concepts are applicable to any degree (or module) programme. http://www.ltss.bris.ac.uk/jules/jtap-623.pdf Warning: I was interviewed for this report and spoke extensively on our own VLE (implemented in Zope). It seems that Zope is used pretty extensively in the UK HE sector judging by the report. enhanced VHM is great! This should replace the standard VHM.

For all the dumb questions I usually ask, I figured I should say "Thank You" when I get to use a great product. http://www.zope.org/Members/sfm/SiteAccessEnhanced The enhanced VHM solved all my problems trying to write my own AccessRules to manage 8 domains pointing to 6 sub-folders. I didnt have to write any rules and use Set Access Rules. The "Edit" tab let's me easily map domains and sub-domains. I dont have to bug the Apache admin to change mod_rewrites anymore when I want to move a folder. And I am no longer locked out from freely copying files around Zope as SiteRoot did to me! For its ease of use, is there any reason this shouldnt be released in the core? Thank you "sfm". -Trevor
