ZSQL Method Question

New to python/Zope, old-timer on PHP.... I'm using MySQL and a ZSQL method to insert data into the database. ex: insert into org (org_name, org_phone) values ('x', 'y') What I'm trying to figure out is that org_id (also part of the org table, but not specified in the sql statement) is an auto_increment primary key field and in PHP I can use mysql_insert_id() to find out what org_id was set to after the mysql_query() call. Is there a way to retrieve that value with ZSQL method, or must I use some other mechanism? cant log in as admin

zope-2.8.8 freebsd-4.11 okay I've followed the directions on the zope website, in the PDF, and the Zope/doc docs. Could not really find the proper cure. Then I made an instance and placed it in /usr/local/www/Zope Started zope and the username and password does not work. there is an entry in Z2.log everytime I go to the link and everytime What am I doing wrong? the Zope/inituser is where I thought things should authenticate? Anyways I must really be missing something. cheers, Noah

Getting this error when trying to install any Products in Plone site. Doesn't happen on newly created Plone site in same Zope Instance. Zope 2.8.5 Python 2.4.2 Plone 2.1.2 Any help would be great. Thanks

external method with import tarfile

Hi! I am trying to run a external python script. Now I am facing a problem that occurs only when I run the script via Zope. ... import os,tarfile ... tar = tarfile.open(oname,"r:gz") for itar in tar: tar.extract(itar.name,jobdir) gives me: Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. Error Type: IOError Error Value: CRC check failed If I comment the for loop my scripts finish well, but then it does not uncompress the file. Please, any help would very appreciated. Problem with ZEO connection - DisconnectedError

Hi :) My site was running fine with Zope-2.7.4 and ZEO when all of a sudden on some (!) of the pages I've started getting "DisconnectedError". This hasn't happened before and I didn't change anything in my configuration... ZEO): http://www.zope.org/Products/ZODB3.2/NEWS Could I be a victim of this bug? It seems strange that this only happens on some of the pages... If so - Zope-2.7.4 has to have an old ZODB version, how do I safely upgrade it? This is a production server, I really can't loose any data :-( Maybe this is important - ZEO server and ZEO client are not on the same machine, they're connected with network. Or is it something else? Can anyone please help me? I'm glad to give you more information if needed :-) I wanted to send this message to ZODB-Dev but I can't seem to register nor send mails there... Access error with "manage_copyObjects / manage_pasteObjects" with proxy roles

Hi, I'm getting the following error when I try to run a script via a non-manager proxy role (running the script as a manager works fine): *Error Type: Unauthorized* *Error Value: You are not allowed to access 'manage_copyObjects' in this context* *I'm using v2.8.1*, and there is no traceback about this error in the event log. I'm using html2pdf and it seems to be truncating the content. The html on which html2pdf is: <html> <head><title>Narrative Report</title></head> <body> <h1>PNG</h1>  <h2>Narrative: PNG- Challenge Situation</h2>  <h2>Narrative: PNG- Key Accomplishments</h2>  <h2>Narrative: PNG- Program Performance</h2>  <h2>Narrative: PNG- Success Stories</h2>  <h2>Table 1-2 PNG</h2>  <h2>Table 1-4 PNG</h2>  <h2>Narrative: PNG- Annex II</h2>  <h2>Narrative: PNG- Annex III</h2>  </body> </html> The html which html2pdf is writing to the pdf though is: <html> <head><title>Narrative Report</title></head> <body> <h1>PNG</h1>  </body> </html> I'm at a loss to explain the truncation. Can anyone offer some suggestions?
