string to list?

Hello, I have a Z SQL method which returns me a string like {{"a"},{"b"},{"c"}} Is there anyway I can write a dtml-in loop to pick out each element from the string? I want to be able to do something like: <dtml-in my_zsql_method_which_returns_a_string> <dtml-var element>, </dtml-in> and that should give me "a,b,c". Is this possible? Or do I need to write an external python method to return a list["a", "b", "c"] given the string above? Thanks! nitesh

Python Methods 0.1.7 under Zope 2.2.1

Working with Zope 2.2.1 (in two distinct servers), I noticed the following behaviour with (0.1.7) Python methods (created under Manager role): 1. Apparently anyone (non-authenticated users) can successfully run the methods even if these include operations (folder/file/user creation, etc.) for which the invoking user has no permission. 2. Although I am able to give Python methods the proxy role of Manager, I can not give them other proxy roles, roles which I also have and am able to give to DTML methods, for instance (anyway, problem 1 makes privileged proxy roles superfluous... :) ). Hi there.. Trying to import the ODP browser thingie from the Oedipus project ( http://oedipus.sourceforge.net/ ) .. but are having some problems.. the error is pasted beneath! The "libcrypt" reference is probably only a warning. You may look at the various "config.*" files to obtain more information about the configuration process and why it failed. Dieter

Zope to PostgreSQL Connection?

Hi I'm with some troubles to connect a freshly installed Zope 2.2.1 on a Conectiva Linux 5.0 (glibc-2.1.2, the rest is the same as Red Hat 6.x) to a PostgreSQL 7.0.2 database. The ZPyGreSQLDA (http://www.zope.org/Members/reedstrm/ZPyGreSQLDA-rjr) "is broken". I tried to get the PoPyDA working, but cannot compile the PoPy module (it complains about libcrypt - that is already installed). Can someone point's me to a useful documentation about what is needed to get PoPy compiled, or another way to connect a Zope 2.2.1 to a PostgreSQL database. ZOPE - Size reduction ???

I recently transformed my web site into a zope site. It's fantastic no question about that but I am a bit warried about the size of the web site. I already had to ask for user quota increase and it looks like I'll have to do it again soon. I got rid of the tutorial, products I did not need, the unnecessary doc files I deleted the quick start directory and I am flushing and packing the database often. What else can I do to decrease the size of ZOPE? Regards, George
