sendmail ---problem!!!!!!!!

hi everbody.... I am trying to make the <dtml-sendmail > work since last two days. Tried every possible way n all the help i could find on the internet but was unsuccessful.. I tried two syntax(which i hve given below> ...while first one does send the mail but with subject,to and body field blank and the other simply doesnt work and gives the SMTP error of <domain name required>>> and i hve configured the the MailHost3 properly...... the codes i hve used is below......(these i have copied directly from dtmlmethods) 1>>>####################################################### <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-sendmail mailhost="MailHost3" mailto=" <suhail(a)morelinux.com>" mailfrom="suhail <suhail(a)morelinux.com>" subject="A new Snippet has been added to ZDP !"> Dear Rik ! I also used "subject" outside like(subject: ----).but it too didnt work. Passing parameters to external methods

Hi, I need to pass some parameters to my external methods. I have an external method that looks (somewhat) like this: def extAccess(self, accttype_cde): return accttype_cde In the following dtml code, the following statement (with the SQL method) works fine: <dtml-if "sqlAccess(accttype_cde='COM')"> sqlAccess returned something </dtml-if> This statement, referencing my external method but using the same syntax as with the sql method, gives lots of headaches: <dtml-if "extAccess(accttype_cde='COM')"> The external method returned true </dtml-if> I get the following error for the above statement: Error Type: TypeError Error Value: not enough arguments; expected 2, got 0 Anybody any ideas? special feature in DTML-TREE

Hi all, I want to add a new feature in my dtml-tree tag. In a few word I want to give parameter values in the url tree. --> like this : http://blah?<my parameter>tree-e=.... but, in my parameter, in want to give dtml value like "REQUEST.Get('a')" my problem is : how can I do this ? and In python how could I translate "REQUEST.get('a') in an explicit word ?" thanks in advance !!!!

You may explicitly pass all parameters: <dtml-if "extAccess(this(),'COM')"> .... This should work. Dieter

how to reload external method?

How do you reolad an external method that has changed? the only way I hafe found is restarting zope - pretty slow, and I wouldn't want to do on the daytime at our server (versions are rather cool, now I can develop on the production server safely). The only other way I see would be writing bug free code at the first time, which would be rather cool... Pluggable brains

Is there a place where pluggable brains mechanism is described ? I am beginning a Zope site project. With the few I have read about pluggable brains, I feel that more info could help me in deciding which part of data has to stay in ZODB and which should go inside RDBM. Thanks.
