<dtml-with> confusion

Can someone explain the difference between: <dtml-with "PARENTS[-1]"> <dtml-with squishdot> ...do stuff here... </dtml-with> </dtml-with> and <dtml-with "PARENTS[-1].squishdot"> ...do stuff here... </dtml-with> cheers, Chris

How to read raw data from HTMLFile?

I would like to pre-process a DTML file (accessed using HTMLFile) before displaying it in the web browser. Example Code: dtml=HTMLFile('manage/mycode', globals()) def cleanUp: # eliminate blank lines and  from DTML ..... def printDTML(self): return self.cleanUp(dtml) The problem is that the dtml variable doesn't return the DTML, but the object reference. Is there a way to fetch the raw DTML content from the HTMLFile object? Kevin Howe

MessageDialog with dtml?

Is it possible to display a MessageDialog with dtml only? I have searched the mailinglist archives and found some postings about this but the instructions there doesnt seem to work. Maybe MessageDialog has been changed to 2.2 or something?

TypeError trying to use Dtml-in on Zclass

Hi All, I have a Zclass object called States built with folder and renderable When I try <dtml-in States> <dtml-var sequence-item> </dtml-in> I get Error Type: TypeError Error Value: hasattr, argument 2: expected string, int found Does anyone know why this is happening?
