Hi all, If i'm logged in as testuser and want to log in with a different user name, whats the right way of doing it? this is on zope 2.7 thanks paul

Yes. It was more a general question. I actually used the DEBIAN Version 'cause when I installed it, you had not sent your answer.- I am wondering whether everything will work properly if I have two servers both an apache AND Zope running. I distinguish them by ports - the "normal" 80 PORT for Zope (for all HTTP requests) and Apache using all other ports (using it as a mailserver and stuff). Besides that, if I want to deinstall the old ZOPE version, is it possible to simply delete simply all files or is there any special deinstallation process? Hi, I successfully installed ZOPE on my VServer which has an DEBIAN op. I want to change ports now in order to have access via a "normal" HTTP request. Dear Chris, This is not the only answer, but I think its a good one. If you take care to use the absolute_url() function to generate URLs you can easily use a standalone web search tool like htdig, running under Apache, to spider all of your visble content, and provide unified search results across any number of hosts or even domains. Its a hack, but it has some advantages - like being super easy to set up, and only showing linked, 'viewable-by-Anonymous users' content by default. I have 2 Zope/Plone sites each with their own 'zope instance home'. Any hope of *merging* these into *ONE* zope instance home so that I can do /search/ over both??? How merge both Data.fs's? Thanks! Chris

Hello, I've got this following bit of ZPT: <tal:loop repeat="t container.py.get_queue(whence=q, userid=userid))"> <span tal:replace="structure here/queue_template"> Queue Template Goes Here </span> within queue_template I reference the "t" loop variable. Unfortunately this fails with a KeyError, which I'm guessing is because "t" isn't available to the "queue_template" ZPT. The date is actually coming from a postgresql database. I checked the zope.conf file, and it's set for "us". Now that you mentioned that, I tried creating a variable within dtml and when I do that, it works just fine. Now I guess I'm looking at a postgresql problem!

Hi- I upgraded from (Zope 2.7.3-0, python 2.3.4, linux2) to (Zope 2.8.0-final, python 2.4.1, linux2). If I use the fmt="%m/%d....", then the date is incorrect. If I don't use the fmt, then my date is logically correct, just not formatted the way I want it. For some reason when I use the "fmt" with the zope variable, it changes my date to exactly one day earlier. For example: SomeDate = "2005/12/02" If I write this code: <dtml-var SomeDate fmt="%m/%d/%Y"> Then I get: "12/01/2005" If I write this code: <dtml-var SomeDate> Then I get: "2005/12/02" Does anybody have an idea what this could be from? I'm guessing its a python2.4 conflict, but not really sure. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi guys, I have some experience with Zope on my desktop pc with an WIN XP operating system. Now I want to order my own virtual server but I am unsure about the features I will need and I do not know how to install ZOPE on such a system at all. Can you give me any advice what features I will certainly need, e.g. SSH(?), Root access(?)? Can you tell me where I can find more infos about this issue (installing ZOPE on different VServers with different OSs)?
