Generic User Folder - custom user properties

I have (I hope) simple question : I use Generic User Folder for authentication of users against Postgress database. I rewrote the appropriate DTML methods, and it works. However, with the AUTHENTICATED_USER, I only get the name of user, its roles and domain. I need to associate another attribute/property, called 'user_id', which is an integer value of the user's record in the database. The value should then be used in subsequent SQL queries on behalf of the user. My question is, if it is possible (so that I can then call "AUTHENTICATED_USER.getProperty('user_id')") and at which point of Generic User Folder/authentication process I should assign the property value? So I was looking at the Open Source Writers' Group website today, www.oswg.org, and it seems to be Zope-powered. It's running on port 8080, adn none of its pages have extensions, which is something I usually only see in Zope sites. When I do that it sets the variable to a string that says welcome rather that the dtml method named welcome. newbie requiring assitance..acquisition

To all, I have the basic concept of acquisition under my belt but have ran into a situation requiring me to draw upon DTML documents form a "lower level". I was just wondering how one would go about this in the most effiecient manner. I have used the PARENTS[n] method and am able to retreive these dtml documents but they reveal all of the HTML formatting.. where as when drawing from above I receive only the "html" formatted text. How can I combat this problem? Does it have somethings to do with setting the properties..? Thanks frustrated in NB, Kevin

ZSQLMethod - Cache KeyError

When using ZSQLMethods we are seeing on occation a KeyError w/ the key value of a SQL statement. I assume this is related to ZSQLMethod caching, but don't know if it's a bug or simple something we've done wrong. We have a few SQL queries that potentially get hit repeatedly, so I've put a 300 second (5 minute) cache on them in the ZSQLMethod advanced options tab. This has had the desired effect of speeding up page serving when the page is accessed rapidly in succession. However we are now getting these KeyErrors once in a while. I'm wondering if the ZSQLMethod may have been expired out of cache, but somehow left behind some reference to it; or if it might just be a pure timing issue. The page is requested at the precise moment the cache cleaner is doing it's thing (not likely I'm guessing). Has anyone else seen this type of error: Error type: KeyError Error value: ("SELECT DISTINCT... Any ideas where to look for a fix to this, turning off cache for ZSQLMethod is only a quick fix not a solution for us.
