Hi all - Followed the install info for the lastest Zope release on NT. I ran start.bat. However browsing to http://localhost:8080/manage gets me a "page not found" message. It's a way of passing in the ampersand character to a CGI argument without it being interpreted as a parameter-breaker. If you make a form with a couple of fields with a GET method, and enter in strings like "this & that" and "97% off" and watch the URL in the browser, you'll see the & in "this & that" get turned into the %26. (I think :) I think the real thing to do is to use & in URLs. I know that some older versions of Netscape Navigator had problems with this though (I can't remember if they had problems if you used & in URLs or just the & on its own. I only remember shaking my head in grief).

How to test/debug a Product in stand alone?

Went through the tutorial where a poll product was created, and I thought I understood it. But no.... Applying "monkey see, monkey do" to my own python stuff to transform it into a product, I somehow introduced bugs into previously working code. What do I run to debug a product module? There is a gap in the tutorial between explaining how we can check our original python code but little about debugging a product. Running ZPublisher/test on the product no longer works because the test routine says that it couldn't import Persistent. I tried ZPublisher/test the poll product and got the same error message. Obviously when Zope pulls itself up it is changing its search path somehow. I added sys.path.insert(0,'myzopepath/lib/python/ZODB') and some of the error messages went away but not the 'cannot import name Persistent' was rather stubborn and refuses to go away. Has anyone sorted this one out before?

Hello, Is there somewhere an already-compiled version of Zope 2.0.1 for AIX 4.3? Or, if the answer for the question above is no, how to compile 2.0.1 on AIX 4.3 (I tried but had errors)? Trimming listadmin trailers from quoted text

Multiply-quoted copies of the list admin info are line noise; like HTML-encoding, I tend to skip such messages rather than wade through the muck. Hi, How can a PythonMethod access an arbitrary object stored in the ZODB. ex: Myfolder myObject myPythonMethod myDTMLMethod myDTMLMethod: <dtml-var "myObject.attribute"> When I call it it return: "This is myObject attribute". Cheers... myPythonMethod: return myObject.attribute If I try it nothing happens! It seems I don't understand how namespaces work.
