strange errors while using mysql with 2.0

I upgraded to 2.0. Now some of my mysql methods fail with the following error. intrestingly some queries do work . Any suggestions comrades ? Tree state interaction with acquisition

I'm trying to understand how acquisition of objects with tree tags affects the tree's state (or is that trees' state?). My index_html DTML_Method in the root folder is acquired almost everywhere. It includes (via dtml-var) my treenav DTML_Method in the root folder which implements the following: <dtml-tree expr="PARENTS[-1]" skip_unauthorized=1 sort=title_or_id branches_expr="navigate_filter('hidden',1,cat='Folder',acquire=0,negate=1)" > <dtml-if hidden>  <dtml-else> <a href="<dtml-var absolute_url>"></a> </dtml-if> </dtml-tree> <a href="?collapse_all=1">Collapse tree</a><br> <a href="?expand_all=1">Expand tree</a><br> As I jump around my site, the tree's state behaviour behaves strangely. For example, if I'm at the root and I expand the tree then click on one of the folder links (which are clean URL's to the folder since I use the absolute_url var), the state of the tree rendered there may be different, especially if I subsequantly jump somewhere else. If you have this: root--+--A--+--AA--+--AAA | | +--AAB | | | +--AB--+--ABA | +--ABB | +--B--+--BA--+--BAA | | +--BAB | | | +--BB--+--BBA | +--BBB ... with index_html being in the root along with treenav, both being DTML_Methods, with index_html including treenav using <dtml-var treenav> Then when you browse to http://site.com/A/AA/AAA/index_html http://site.com/B/BA/BAB/index_html is the "tree" the same tree? By same, I am refering to the fact that it stores a cookie which affects the tree state when it is not called with .../index_html?tree-e=... I know the 'expr="PARENTS[-1]"' in the tree affects things, but I don't know how. I know when http://site.com/A/AA/AAA/index_html uses <dtml-var treenav>, it acquires it from the root folder, but does that make the tree and its state the same "tree"? Perplexedly yours... hi there, i know that in zope 1 i had to use an extension in order to upload contents into the zope-database. what about zope2. do i still have to use an extension, or is ftp now a zope feature? if yes: how do i do it? Andy Pahne ap(a)net22.net

To see what they actually do, currently you need to > consult the Zope source, which is an extreme thing to do to beginners. i agree. i skimmed the source and got a vague idea on how things work now. but some things need further explaination/examples. take these snippets from the ZQR: <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('list',[])"> <dtml-call "list.append(1)"> <dtml-var "list[0]"> i get the first statement. it's in the ZQR. its using REQUEST and set (which is def in BaseRequest , i think) and sets the values. the 2nd stement i got only part of it. it's calling the list object, but where did the append come from? is it a method that the author had done already (as in the dtml-call "addDocument(.....)"> example, or is it standard Zope methods? if it's some method the author had done, i get it. can i safely say that REQUEST is the class and set is a method in REQUEST? even though the BaeRequest.py never state explicitly that REQUES is a class (it only say BaseRequest is a class)? or where did the REQUEST come from? the ZQR mentioned that we can use form with REQUEST, but there's no such definition/method(?) in the BaseRequest.py. where did that come from? another object i presumed, but which one? i hope i've shown reasons i or maybe a few more from non python background faced. > > > So far, the ZQR. Unable to create an instance of zclass within a zclass.

Hi folks, This is one problem I've seen in the archives several times but with no answer/solution (that I could find, anyway) : - Created a new product (MyProduct) using the Control Panel/Products - Inside MyProduct : created a new ZClass (ClassA) based on ObjectManager. - Inside ClassA : created a new ZClass (ClassB) based on ObjectManager. - Added a new instance of ClassA to the Zope root using the 'add button' - Within this instance of ClassA, tried to add an instance of ClassB - Error "Resource not found" - Traceback : File D:\Zope\lib\python\ZPublisher\Publish.py, line 214, in publish_module File D:\Zope\lib\python\ZPublisher\Publish.py, line 179, in publish File D:\Zope\lib\python\Zope\__init__.py, line 201, in zpublisher_exception_hook (Object: RoleManager) File D:\Zope\lib\python\ZPublisher\Publish.py, line 151, in publish File D:\Zope\lib\python\ZPublisher\BaseRequest.py, line 426, in traverse File D:\Zope\lib\python\AccessControl\User.py, line 373, in validate (Object: RoleManager) File D:\Zope\lib\python\ZPublisher\HTTPResponse.py, line 510, in notFoundError NotFound: (see above) In fact, just how are the zope permissions objects used in this context ? Hi, By default, Zope does this for the plus signs in a tree: <IMG SRC="/p_/pl" BORDER=0> I want to add an ALT tag to this, so my pages remain as lynx-friendly as possible. How can I do this? This doesn't seem to be configurable anywhere.
