Python 1.5.2 on Slackware 4.0

Has anyone been sucessful in installing Python 1.5.2 on Slackware 4.0? A good part of it runs without any problem, however, some of the key modules do not work. Some have suggested that my Python installed was hosed. I've checked Deja and the web and have not found reference to this problem. Python folks have said it's a glibc version problem. Proper way to set variables

Heh, feels strange to reply to myself, but as I got no replies before, maybe I need to elaborate a bit. The original question is below. My main confusion is just how do I set a variable that is dynamically scoped without having to use dtml-with or dtml-let, both of which require matching closing tags? the REQUEST.set was used, but for some reason, when calling some functions, it would suddenly disappear and an error would result. multiple virtual hosts / single database using ZServer?

A while back we figured out how to do multiple virtual hosts using a single Zope database under Apache. Does anyone have a clue where ZServer would be modified to do the same thing, in the same way? I looked it over quickly, but don't know where to start. Thanks Bruce Perens

Can ZCatalog index lines properties?

Has anyone been successful in getting ZCatalog to index a lines property in an object (ZClass or DTML Document)? If so, how did you do it? Thanks. Chris
