How can I examine an property of an object from the other object in the other tree?

I have to develop a 2(+more) language site for a historians' society. www.khss.or.kr is that site and it has two main tree, i.e. /korean <-main branch /english <-translated branch I have added a property 'TR' for every Folder and DTML Document in /english branch to distinguish whether it is translated(TR='1') already or not yet(TR='0'). Now , for an example, I want to know the value of /english/members/info's TR value from /korean/members/info. info is DTML Document in both case. The following variations gave me KeyError .    : cf. !--#var isTRed --> gives the string 'english.xx.yy.zz' when called from /korean/xx/yy/zz. The Zope version is 1.10.3. I guess there is a straitfoward way to acomplish this or to build & manage multi-lingual site, but I am exhausted. Any hints are welcome. TIA Lee Kwan Soo.

Sounds like a bug. He means that QUERY_STRING is not passed on in a tree tag. How do I replace them with my own graphics? When I right click on them and choose show this image in new window (in Netscape), their name is /p_/pl and /p_/mi. thanks!

ISP installation of Zope

Hi, I am the CTO of an ISP and after doing some Zope projects (only smaller inhouse things) I like to setup Zope as a service for our customers, cause we receive requests for Zope, cause some of the companies we cooperate with already use Python as the primary scripting language. And they want Zope for their customers. What do I have to do so I have one central installation of Zope and something like user installations for our customers. Or do we need Zope for each and every customer? I have looked on the Zope web page, but either I am to dumb or no information is available. How about overloading URL traversal? Couldn't you write a product which essentially let you embed the session state in a part of the URL, without touching the actual query string? Eg., assuming objects /Commerce and /Book, you might have an URL such as: http://myserver/Commerce/420727498471040a432043f85090/Book/Buy?id=542384 32 Here, the parameter following Commerce is a packed (possibly compressed) dictionary -- or a key into a server-stored gob of session information. Since the browser will treat this part of the URL as a parent collection, there is no need to explicitly pass this information to any hyperlinks or form targets. The only problem I see with this scheme is that use of absolute_url() breaks the acquisition, but this is a small sacrifice to make. Not having explored the world of traversal overloading in Zope, I wouldn't know if this is entirely doable -- traversal must support passing parts of the URL back to the standard traversal engine, that's the key part. -- Alexander Staubo http://www.mop.no/~alex/ "QED?" said Russell.
