"Fake" folder hiearchy

Hello, I have this site hiearchy, make it by Folders: - product - books - tapes Now, if somebody write to URL address like: http://mysite.com/product/books I get a template page from that folder. It's OK. But what I need is some dynamical handling of URL. I would like be able to handle URLs like: http://mysite.com/product/books/tarzan where tarzan is some key word for, which I get, dynamical query database (for example) and dynamical render page about Tarzan book. I dont want make folder hiearchy under "books" folder, because I have all books data in database... Is it possible do something like this? Thanks Michal

Garbage characters in Firefox

Hello: New zope and plone user with things generally working. Installed by RPM, current versions are: Mandrake 10.1 Zope 2.7.3-1 Zope Group User Folder 3.1.1-1 Plone-2.0.5-2 Apache 2.0.50-7.2.10 The only problem I'm having currently is that my site is either rendered without any of the CSS formatting or images, or is rendered with half a page of garbage characters (the main page as well as internal links you might go to) when using firefox. If I <shift>-reload the page, it then comes up rendered properly every time. Sadly, IE never seems to exhibit this behavior-- it works every time. One other configuration note....I am proxying the site through apache using mod_proxy and the proxypass option in my vhosts conf file. Obviously using the virtualhostmonter in conjunction with that configuration. I wasn't able to find anything in the archives or google to shed light on it, so I'm hoping someone on the list has some recommendations. Happy to post any configs anyone is interested in. As a final side note, I've dug into this from a plone and apache perspective and have eliminated (I believe) as possible culprits (i.e., I see this behavior when not proxying). Zope products and uploading files

Dear all At the moment I am creating a small zope product that is the web front end to a java pipeline. I have a form where I can upload a file and I can successfully place it anywhere within the Zope database by using context.manage_addFile(name,file,title) The file that is uploaded does not really want to be in zope - it should be somewhere on the local filesystem - I have tried to read the file contents back to the filesystem - but the product dies with a Attribute Error :: __call__ Or POSKeyError 000000000267f or something like it. I could use Java to extract the contents of the URL but this seems quite silly. I know that I am doing it the hard way - could someone kindly suggest to me an elegant way to write the File object directly to the local disk? Any help would be very gratefully received. Thanks for the quick answer... I will try to downgrade to 1.0.1... Can you confirm that (for TranslationService 0.4 / Localizer 1.0.1) iTools/iHotFix are... useless ? Thanks. Images showing as pages in web log stats / analysis

Hi Images and other non-html objects in Zope have no obligation to end in a certain extension, e.g. .jpg. This is causing us trouble with web log analysis: images are showing up as pages and badly distorting the usage statistics. Has anyone found a web stats packages that can be configured to understand what a 'page' is, e.g. looking at the content-type header, which can be logged by Apache? The only contingency we have is to pre-process the logs and append extensions ourselves before passing to the web stats package, but this is not an ideal solution as there are commercial issues related to advertising etc. - they don't like the logs being messed with. Localizer question

Hi, I have been using iTools 0.5.0, iHotfix 0.5.0, Localizer 1.1.0b2 and TranslationService 0.4... (on Zope 2.7.4 + CMF 1.5.0) But checking the TranslationService page on Zope.org, it says that one should use Localizer 1.0.1, because the 1.1.x branch is not supported... Also, I can't find anything anymore concerning iHotFix/iTools. So, I am confused. In order to get the i18n: TAL tags getting their text from Localizer MessageCatalogs, what exactly do I need to install ? Thanks a lot. Dear people, I have a survey form that has about 26 fields in them and I want to put the data into a postgresql database via a psycopg adapter. Problem is when i build the insert using a zsql, do i have to manually create each field using <dtml-sqlvar ? seems very long and unproductive way to do it. Doing it using an external method, I will loose the niceties of dtml-sqlvar such as auto escaping of input and such. Suggestions anyone ? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Problem accessing Plone site

Hi everyone, I have problem accessing my Zope/Plone site. I'm on Windows XP pro. Normally, with a fresh ip adress (dynamic ip) I should be able to access my site on my machine or from any others but nothing work. On my machine, I receive an authorization error and on any other, a standard error. Someone know what configuration or parameter I should check to fix my problem? Thanks a lot Etienne
