manage_menu spins forever on Zope 2.7.0/ZEO

I've got a problem similar to Alexis Roda, described here: http://mail.zope.org/pipermail/zope/2003-January/130237.html This is Zope 2.7.0 on a Linux machine. An added bonus is that I am actually using ZEO, and one of the ZEO clients is having this problem, but the other is not. I have tried to "Debug a Spinning Zope", but the process is not actually using any CPU, and I can't identify any "problems" in gdb. Attempts to PyRun_SimpleString in gdb fail with: """ The program being debugged was signaled while in a function called from GDB. Evaluation of the expression containing the function (malloc) will be abandoned. """ Anyone have any ideas on what I can try next? The ZODB is freshly packed. Does ZEO cache stuff anywhere? Copy to another storage using APE

Hi I'm trying to copy some objects from a FileStorage (data.fs) to another (a file system storage using APE) but I always get this error File "C:\Archivos de programa\ZopeServer\lib\python\Products\Ape\lib\apelib\zodb3\connection.py", line 428, in identify raise InvalidObjectReference, (ZODB.POSException.InvalidObjectReference: Can't refer to <Folder instance at 017C2AD0>, located in Connection at 015ba8bc>, from <ApeConnection at 0173d03c> This used to work in previous versions of APE; I'm using now 0.8.1. I just use _getOb(id) to obtain an object from one place and then _setObject(id, aq_base(obj)) to copy it to another place. With newly created objects the APE storage works fine, only complains when copying objects from another storage. I guess, the object "remembers" its original connection and then cant be stored in another place. But this is exactly what I want, copy things from one storage to another. This is a test script. Hi all, Recently, I've had to restart Zope a few times from the command line. (I know exacly where I was on Dec 4 2004, at 12:47:50, it must have been my ISP friend..) Now, Zope won't pack, I've got a couple of corrupted objects and I've developed a case of the hangs... Newbie: TAL Conditions

Hello all, I am a newbie at Zope, slowly traversing the learning curve. I am focusing on TAL currently, and am quite a bit confused with the tal:condition syntax. I have a Z SQL Method that selects all records from a table in a PostgreSQL database. This method is called "getTransfers". I then have a Page Template called "displayTransfers" that displays the results as tabular HTML. This works fine. However, where there isn't a record (i.e. an empty string), a <TD> will not be defined so that it leaves ugly gaps in the table. To ensure that a '<TD> </TD>' replaces an empty string '' I added two tal:condition statements. This works, but is sort of ugly looking as, in my head, it is the equivalent of two 'if' statements when it should be an 'if/else'.
