hi, With ZFSPath product I can save a fille (a ZIP) and open it, but I can't 'open with' when I click on it; it shows up as an empty ZIP file. Any idea what's up with that? Dtml-mime & Groupwise

Hi All, Currently I'm writing an application which sends HTML mails to a recipient. The problem is that the recipient uses Groupwise and whem using <dtml-mime type="text/html"> the messages is recieved as an attachment. Has anyone succeeded to write a html mail which is recieved correctly bij Novel Groupwise client? Greetings Ralph van den Houdt

DTMLFile from products

Hi, I'm experimenting with products an I'm finding challenging to serve a javascript file from the context of the product. I've simply defined a function def posts_js(self): """javascript file""" return DTMLFile('dtml/posts.js', globals()) The file is served but some chars are substituted by entity, so if I have if (i < 10) { I get if (i < 10) { and the browser dislike it... I need something like 'structure' of ZPTs, but I don't know how to use it from products, and however I suspect it could be useless cause the function return an object (am I right?). thanks for any hint massimo

'id' an ilegal folder name?

Hi, I've created a folder for each country with the 2 letter country code as the folder name. However I keep getting an error with Indonesia - country code 'id'. Given it's use across Zope - is these a reserved word and thus can't be used for naming - or just an edge case no one has encountered before? (I'm using Zope 2.7.x with Plone 2.0.4) Cheers, Duane

I started out using DTML. I have since switched to page templates. Now the only place I use DTML is in ZSQL methods. The Zope Book states the advantages of ZPT clearly http://www.zope.org/Documentation/Books/ZopeBook/2_6Edition/ZPT.stx So far I've never run in to anything I did in DTML that I could not do in ZPT. If I were you I'd learn just enough DTML to use ZSQL methods and concentrate on ZPT. For me the biggest advantage of ZPT is keeping the programming logic out of the html. Can't add Python processes

Hello all, After reinstalling Zope I have only one active Python process. (The parent process is also running but uses no CPU time.) I think this must be negatively affecting performance. Zope 2.7.3-0 Python 2.3.4 (Final) In zope.conf under zserver-threads, I first did nothing, leaving the default. Then I tried different values: 3, 7 and 10 with no effect. Zope 2.7.3 (unreleased version) was running fine before, with four threads. I needed to reinstall Zope because I had lost and reinstalled Python 2.3.4. During this latest install, Zope identified my new Python as 'optimal'. Both zopectl and runzope correctly set CONFIG_FILE to my zope.conf. FWIW, debug-mode is off. What am I overlooking? Startup

hi Zope: Is it possible to have a 'startup script' type of mechanism for a virtual site? I think ASP has one, it allows some things to be setup the first time a site is accessed. For example I would like to create a transient object folder in my /temp_folder to hold session data for each particular site; this has to do with my custom session start/end scripts. Thanks, J.

Archetypes fields in an associative link?

Suppose I want 2 fields of an Archetypes product to be read-only to users and populated based on the value of a 3rd field? I want users to choose a project and have the charge number for the project and project manager to be filled automagically. My problem is that I can't tell what Archetypes field/widget would be best for this job. I was thinking that the 2 dependant fields could be bound to a method to get their values, but what type of field will hold a key and a bunch of associated values that can be altered in a form via some sort of widget? I'm relatively new to Archetypes. From what I've seen, this functionality is sure to exist already.
