ImportError

Hello, I tried to delete a old product, which I no longer need. If I try to access a directory which had some instances of this product in it, then I get the following Error: Error Type: ImportError Error Value: No module named ZReportLab2.ZReportLab But I have deleted all instances, I could find with the search routine. I also have packed my Data.fs. What can I do, that I get rid of this old product? Regards Florian Reiser

Hello all, This ought to be simple, but can't find module/function to do this. I'm writing an external method that reads text for inclusion into HTML. Some of the strings have "&" (= &) and other non-HTML conformant characters. I know Zope takes care of this translation automatically, but is there something outside Zope I could use? TIA. Samir.

Hi, I have a form for file uploading, in the pyhton script i want to know the name of the file. I can't find any api reference of the zope module/methods. i have a form like this: <form action="attach_action" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <p>Name: <input type="text" name="name"></p> <p>File: <input type="file" name="file"></p> <input type="submit" name="ok" value="ok"> </form> and in python script i returned "file" and the result is: <ZPublisher.HTTPRequest.FileUpload instance at 0x4199834c> can someone help me on this issue? And where can i found a complete and better API reference than the one in the Zope Book. It's very frustrating for a newbie losing time with this kind of things. thanks in advance, Bruno

IntegerIndex and range

Images don't get cached in IE, in the presence of Apache's mod_gzip

I stumbled with a problem regarding the caching of images in Internet Explorer 6. They just don't get cached when served through Apache if mod_gzip is on, in despite of the excluding rules for that module. This problem also involves Zope, as it happen even though you had set cache properties via Zope's http accelerator manager. Has anyone else had this same problem?. How did you deal with it? According to this information http://www.nelson.monkey.org/~nelson/weblog?q=mod_gzip the problem is due to a bug in IE triggered by mod_gzip. As IE is the most used browser this can be taken as a bandwidth leak (even if we choose not to use mod.gzip) Any ideas? Ausum

Field Index PDF for Catalog

Hello again. I am trying to index the content of PDF files in Zcatalog, but at the moment I have only been able to index their titles or id. My question is, what attribute and what type of index should I use for this? Do I need to install some component, pluggin of some sort? Please help me. I am running Zope 2.6 (without CMF). Thank you. Unicode Problem

Hello All, After I upgrade from Zope 2.5.1 to Zope 2.6.4rc2 . I found that all the unicode data stored in old Data.fs cannot be display correctly at Zope Manager Interface. Then I try to manual input the unicode data & save, then raise a error : Error Type: UnicodeError Error Value: Latin-1 encoding error: ordinal not in range(256) And l know this error occurs since Zope 2.6.4rc2 's default encoding character is latin-1, but how to change it ? UserFolder with both seperation and multiplicity

I'm looking for a UserFolder replacement that has a certain set of features. It seems like this should be a no-brainer but I haven't found one yet. I need: * Seperation between User data and authentication. One package that does this is Extensible User Folder (XUF). There are pluggable Property Source and Authentication Sources seperately. * Multiple instances of each type of source. I want to have both LDAP Authentication as well as standard ZODB authentication for users outside of our LDAP. PluggableUserFolder seems to support this, but does not seem to support the concepts of Properties seperate from Authentication. Does anyone know of a User Folder that meets both of these needs? Zope Restart

When I attempt to a Zope Restart, I get an error msg saying:- The requested URL could not be retrieved This is because Zope takes a while to go through its startup process. Is any way to set an interval to wait for before attempting to reconnect? -- John
