Well, you'd have to tie it to the structure of your document, but using a table it would look something like this: <table tal:condition="not: isLibraryTopicIndex"> ... </table> Doesn't reall ymatter what isLibraryTopicIndex *IS* so long as it evaluates to true or false somehow. regarding catalogs on website, ZODB or standard relational DB?

Hi List, I've struggled with this one for quite a while, at least partly due to my previous experience being with *SQL dbs. I'm building an e-commerce site on Zope, and I've gotten to the point where I could see some huge advantages from a management perspective to doing catalog products as a zope objects, rather than table rows in MySQL. But, probably due to lack of experience, there are things that don't quite click for me yet. One of the main things is being able to easily and arbitrarily manipulate large numbers of products. Performance is another thing I wonder about. Basically, I would love to get advice from someone who has built an e-commerce site entirely on Zope, and any particular caveats they encountered. I'm very frustrated at this point because from a perspective of sense, products work great as objects, but not so well as rows in table. Thanks for any help you can lend, Alec Munro

Weird behaviour

I hope someone can help me on this. I am using zope 2.6.2 on RH8. I have a small application written in DTML on my test server. When I exported this test.zexp and import into my production server. It was OK before restarting zope. However, I am unable to restart zope after this. Could it be that my test application is having a different user folder . I could not figure how it happen - anyone having similar experience. TQ

I can get to my site fine from other machines on my network but it looks like Apache has stripped out most of the content formatting it looks like a static web page and at the bottom it there is a message stating if I'm seeing that text then I don't have a compliant browser, but I know I do. As an FYI the site appears with all formatting intact when I get the site locally on the same machine the zope/apache server is running on. Is mod_rewrite and mod_proxy not working correctly? I've followed the instruction from the zope site which seem pretty straight forward and the fact that I can get to the site at all from another machine on my network tells me mod_rewrite and mod_proxy are set up right on apache. As a side note I get the same results when I use the proxypass method of using apache and Zope Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Thanks for any input Tony

Hello, I want to use ExtFile to catalog some file. I want to store file on the file system and make search on word that i have put in the description. My first problem is that when i load 2 files with the same name i have an error. What i'm doing wrong ? It's the best product ? Creating an instance of another class?

What is the correct way to use the OFS to create an instance of a product within an object? I have a filesystem-based Zope product which creates various files on the filesystem. Depending on the internal state of an instance of my Product I'd like to create a LocalFS instance (ie a local attribute) pointing to the directory which the product created.
