Hi, We are using, plone 2 with TextIndexNG 2.0.4. We get the following error when searching on 'a' or 'b' or 'c' . Error Type IndexError Error Value list index out of range Also we get a parser error if we enter a blank in the search field. Is this a bug of TextIndexNG2 ? Thanks, -- Jean

How to have Apache rewrite to multiple Zopes?

Yet another Apache redirect question Is there a way to have one Apache server redirect SSL requests to different Zope instances without requiring separate IP addresses for each instance? Background: I have 3 Zope instances running on 3 different ports, with one ApacheSSL. I have a VirtualHostMonster for each Zope. Inside one VirtualHost of *:443, I tried the following Rewrite Rules: ^/my_name(.*) http://localhost:9090/VirtualHostBase/https/hostname:443/VirtualHostR oot/$1 [P,L] ^/(.*) http://localhost:8080/VirtualHostBase/https/hostname:443/VirtualHostRoot/$ 1 [P,L] (substituting real values for my_name and hostname, of course). My (ill-informed?) idea was to catch requests of https://hostname/my_name to go to the Zope on 9090, and requests of https://hostname to go to Zope 8080. It actually works to serve content, but when attempting to do any management URLS, it is removing the my_name from the URL and redirecting to the Zope 8080 site. I can get to manage_main of the correct site, but beyond that it breaks. Any fixes, or must I resort to getting extra IP addresses and creating a separate IP-based VirtualHost for each Zope instance? CookieCrumbler Authentication

Ok. I've got SimpleUserFolder all setup and working properly (even authing users against a pgsql db which is cool). Since SUF only supports basic HTTP authentication and I need to have a login form and use cookies to properly authenticate users it was suggested that I use cookie crumbler. I've got that installed and I sort of see how it all works but I'm not sure how to proceed at the moment. Here's my folder structure: /folder/foo/index_html (this is the ZPT I've created (I've also duplicated it as a dtml-document just in case I'm supposed to use a dtml-document instead of a ZPT to make this all happen) that has a form element in it so users can type in their username and password and login to the protected portion of the website) /folder/foo/members (this is the protected portion of the website) What I need to do is have users authenticate via the index_html page and be taken to www.foo.com/foo/members. Additionally I need to display a message to the user if their authentication fails (i.e. take them back to the index_html page and show them a msg that says the username and password entered is not valid, please try again). I was told that if I add a cookie crumbler instance in the same folder as the acl_users folder (currently locate at /folder/foo/members/acl_users) basic HTTP authentication would be disabled and cookies would be used. There are very limited docs on this subject it seems. How do I make this happen?

Using Request.set

Hello. I am trying to set a variable I create using REQUEST.set to sequence-number for a sequence I am looping through but cannot seem to do so. I tried several different variations but Zope flagged me with a syntax error. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. - Asad

Importing A Plone Instance

I was developing a Plone site this afternoon and exported it to a file, Plone.zexp. I then moved that file to the following directory on my Debian Linux box: /var/lib/zope/import I then go to import the Plone instance by entering Plone.zexp in the "Import file name" textbox and click on the "Import" button. However, when I do, I get the following error: Error Type: IOError Error Value: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/lib/zope/instance/default/import/Plone.zexp' I thought that there might be a problem with permissions because the import folder's owner is root and its group is root. However, *every* file in directory associated with Zope shares this trait, and I haven't seen any other problems elsewhere. Also, I'm logged in as a user that has Manager and Owner rights over the root folder of my Zope instance. I googled for some help but couldn't find anything. Has anyone else seen a problem like this? zExceptions

Hello all, I'm trying to publish the sample TutorialPoll 0.9 product under Zope 2.6.1. I using the following command: "/usr/local/zope/bin/python ../../ZPublisher/Test.py Poll2Publish mypoll" When I do that I get the following error on the command line: -- "/usr/local/Zope-2.6.1-linux2-x86/lib/python/ZPublisher/BaseResponse.py", line 20, in ? from zExceptions import Unauthorized ImportError: No module named zExceptions -- I've searched quite a bit for information about this, but I can't seem to pinpoint anything. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction? ~Mark

One way around this is to put the following: <dtml-in SequenceLoop> <dtml-let seqnumber=sequence-number>  </dtml-let> </dtml-in> Another more "ugly" method would be: <dtml-in SequenceLoop> <dtml-let seqnumber=sequence-number> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('loopNumber',seqnumber)"> </dtml-let>  </dtml-in> The second approach is good if you want to know what the last sequence-number was after the sequence has ended. zope username /password problem on our portal

we are running a web portal using Zope created by our previous administrator who doesn't work with us anymore. The portal is up and running. The problem: After logging in as one of the portal users when trying to access any information, it is now gives a pop-up as Enter Username and Password for Zope. The site has been working for about a year now without problems. I don't know anything on Zope but am a another system admin. Any help would be very appreciated. thanks, shyam
