change to MimeWriter to add "MIME-Version: 1.0"

If anyone is interested in the "MIME-Version header", I have played with the mime stuff and read rfc1341 to understand better how this stuff works. I am enclosing a subset of MimeWriter.py which will allow the functions to put the "MIME-Version: 1.0" header in the correct place. I would like to warn everyone that I am not a python programmer, and there might be a better way to do this. The changed subset: def startbody(self, ctype, plist=[], prefix=1, version=0): for name, value in plist: ctype = ctype + ';\n %s=\"%s\"' % (name, value) self.addheader("Content-Type", ctype, prefix=prefix) if version: self.addheader("MIME-Version", "1.0", prefix=1) self.flushheaders() self._fp.write("\n") return self._fp def startmultipartbody(self, subtype, boundary=None, plist=[], prefix=1): self._boundary = boundary or mimetools.choose_boundary() return self.startbody("multipart/" + subtype, [("boundary", self._boundary)] + plist, prefix=prefix, version=1) This will only place the "MIME-Version: 1.0" header if you are using the  tag. Trying to add an instance of an object. Still no luck

I'm still trying to add an instance of my "QuoteClass" object. Very simple. quotetext and person are the two fields. I can add a quote through the management interface, and I can randomly pull quotes from the database and display them. No problem. Of course, the problem I'm having is adding the instances programatically, through DTML. I've separated the stuff out a bit, and have discovered that <dtml-with "manage_addProduct['QuoteProduct']"> is probably what is causing the error. ANN: Squishdot 0.3.0 (new feature release)

Hi all, I've released a new version of Squishdot (ver. 0.3.0) which incorporates the "re" patch -- it now works fine with Zope 2 out of the box. Aside from numerous bug fixes, it has two new major features: * a preview posting/comment button/screen - which will allow you to see what your posting will look like. * a RDF/RSS page (useful for content syndication) It also has some internal changes which make it easier to customize its validation of articles/comments. If you're installing Squishdot from scratch, I would suggest using the latest version. BUT if you are however already running a Squishdot site (with a lot of data and/or customizations which you want preserved), there are some slight complications if you plan to upgrade to the new version (due to the internal changes I've made) -- please check the updated documentation. I'm doing a search with an SQL query, which returns a bunch of hits. Now, what's the magic word in the _ namespace for finding how many hits are in that query (the in tag), for example, "Your query on blah had 4323 hits on the word "bleh"" ? Is there maybe a way to do this via SQL? -Thanks in advance

hello I am just now moving our operation zope1.10.3 stuffs into zope 2, and we use postgreSQL. So I hope the database adapter is in a state good enought to work. How to control user access ??

Hello All Thanks to everyone for replying to my earlier ZSQL method question. After n number of tries, I switched to using a ZSearch Interface as suggested by Patrick Theodore (thanks for that) and that worked fine. My next question is, how do I control security as far as people pointing their browsers to the site. Do I have to create each user in the acl_users group and specify their name/domain...??. And also I would like to display the records with a href to an edit/no edit link depending on who comes in. for e.g.: the records should be displayed like(the site is http://localhost:8080/MyAccessFolder) Name Title Dept Rating Change Sunit SP PROD 4 Edit Derek PC SHIP 3 NoEdit So if I point to the above site and chose the option to display the above records I want to be able to click on the Edit (href link) and then be able to change my entries and update the record, since I would have the permissions. Similarly if Derek comes in he will be able to click on NoEdit but it will just tell him he doesn't have rights to do it. NS-CGI Auth Patch Problem

I downloaded the Netscape CGI Auth patch, but the tar file distributed doesn't contain binaries (for either Win32 or Unix) and although it contains a source file, it references headers which are missing. I cannot find the files in the CVS archive either, although I could easily be looking in the wrong place.
