[Zope]Compiling ZOracleDA?

Hi all, has anybody managed to compile ZOracleDA? I have tried with Oracle 7.3.3.3.0.2 on Solaris 2.7, but I keep getting this error message: ImportError: ld.so.1: python: fatal: relocation error: file ./oci_.so: symbol log10l: referenced symbol not found Yes, I have read README.txt and appended libcore3.a to ORACLE_LIBS in the Makefile, but to no avail... Corrupt database after packing

Yesterday morning our Zope 1.10.2 was running well, but now refuses to start up with the traceback below. The only unusual action in this period was packing the database. I can piecing together some details from the traceback and copies of my database before and after the pack (using bbb.py to convert to XML) The object with id 5 is Control Panel; this object does not appear in the database after the pack. Has packing purged some records that it should not have done? Zero length files after FTP put to ZServer

(Zope 2.0a with ZServer) Odd... can't seemt to transfer the body of a document to ZServer using FTP - the file appears but is either zero length or, if new, contains the default DTML script. OT: Help a newbie install Zope 2.0!

I have recently done a vanilla install of RedHat 5.2 (server config) onto an intel machine here at work, and have located and installed the RPM's for Python 1.5.2. I have also downloaded the source archilve, but I'm unsure what comes next. I am not an experienced Linux user, and am a bit overwhelmed by the documentation. Can anyone help by describing the procedure to uncompress the archive, compile, and install Zope 2.0? And is the setup I described adequate, or are some other prerequisites (I'm wondering if ZAP will work with the alpha version)? Thank you for your attention, Michael Bernstein.

Newbie: Users and plain content

I'm a newbie and still trying to figure out how to have my users produce content and maintain an standard look. * The problem is that 99.9% of the users in our departments don't know a thing about HTML but want to publish spreadsheets or word documents they produced. Easy so far, they just save their documents as HTML from Word or Excel and forget about it. The problem is that I want to maintain a standard look and feel through headers, footers and CSS but to do so I need to manually edit each file they upload to Zope. Is there a better way? I thought of using frames that would solve the problem with the headers/footers but still don't know how to override the fonts/margins/etc to maintain the same look in each page. Any ideas on a more complete solution? -aem

This is a MySQL access issue. The user that is trying to access the database (possibly 'nobody' depending on how your webserver is set up) is not in the mysql access tables. Check out the MySQL docs for info on how to configure access. Also, don't forget to refresh the mysql server so that it reads in your revised grant tables after you've made changes. Greetings, I am a newbie who needs help! I recently installed Zope 1.10.2 (most stable version), MySQL and python 1.5.1. I am trying to connect to the MySQL database. I get the following error: Errorm MySQL, error Access denied for user '@localhost' to database 'database1' SQL used select * from table1; Any ideas would be very apprechiated!!! Also, In the Add Connection I have the following items setup. msql database1
