timestamp problem on NT

Zope 2.0 alpha 3 seems to be getting confused over timestamps on NT. I see the value 77108275237.6, which is definitely out of range. Curiously, I see exactly the same number after shutting down zope, clearing the var directory, and restarting. I also get two warnings on restarting with an empty var: FS21 warn: D:\Program Files\Zope-2.0.0a3-src/var/Data.fs truncated, possibly due to damaged records at 4 FS21 warn: D:\Program Files\Zope-2.0.0a3-src/var/Data.fs Database records in the future Any thoughts?

berlin zope BBQ report

Hi all, It's been another busy week in the Zope community. Lot of people announced contributions, and Zope 2 alpha continues to progress. Many folks seem to be using Zope 2.0, but beware, it is still *alpha* software. Probably the biggest news this week is that UserLand (makers of the Frontier commercial web development environment) are taking a big interest in Zope. UserLand's Eric Kidd orchestrated support for Frontier's XML-RPC in Zope. It will be exciting to see how the Zope community and the Frontier community come together. * Brian Lloyd announced that Zope 1.10.3 final was released. This release fixes more bugs and introduces XML-RPC support. Pardon my ignorance, but...

Hello All, I am quite new to zope, but it's great fun! However, I am having trouble figuring out how to do the following: I would like to have a user search my (MySQL) database for a particular record, then return the record values in an editable form. After the user has appropriately edited the record values, pressing submit causes the database record to be updated. The SQL is not the problem, but chaining the forms together so the second receives the values from the first as its defaults is where I am stuck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? TIA. Oops, forgot one thing: I also had to edit App/manage_tabs.dtml so that parent-links work correctly. Almost at the end of the file, change the tabs_path_info expression to "tabs_path_info('.', REQUEST.environ['SCRIPT_URL'])". It's not perfect, but it's an acceptable compromise for me.

Handling lists in requests?

Hi, is there a way to handle lists in requests properly? For Example: I have a form getting a list containing a few 'inner' lists from an external method 'ldif' (maybe that's already ugly). I want to give this list-construct via a request to an action form. <FORM action="show_it" method="post">  <input type = "hidden" name="adr_list" value="">  doing some stuff  The  action works fine, but when trying the same  in 'show_it' I receive an Error: Error type: InError Error value: Strings are not allowed as input to the in tag. nav trees

I'm using a tree tag for a navagation system which you can see at http://www.3e.org/elena/ . The problem I'm having is that if you click on the title of a folder (instead of on the +/- like you're supposed to), you end up with another copy of the site nested in the target frame. How would I make it so the folder names would *not* be links? Daniel Drucker
