Hello all, second question of the day. Right, how do you detect if an image has been provided for upload when using the MULTIPART encryption method on a form? Basically, i have got a form that uploads three images to Zope and the user has the choice to upload between 1 and 3 pictures, so obviously, i need to check if the file boxes are empty or not. For example: <INPUT TYPE="file" NAME="newImg"> at the zope end:  image is here  nothing there matey boy  does not work.... any ideas on how to check??? Please help, i am losing my hair very quickily.... In that case, you can extend the external method to do it's own logging to a nice common format you can analyze externaly. In fact, you could even INSERT a record into an SQL database (this might be to heavy weight for you though). So, Zope can at least hose a 10 Mb Ethernet (Note, a 70MB FTP between the two machines yielded 800 KB/s, I think the amount of request/response and tcp connect/disconnect overhead could account for the other 144 KB/s, at least to a 10% margin of error). When Rob buys me a 100MB card for my other machine, I'll rerun the benchmark to see if Zope can beat the 10Mb limit. Note that load average and % of time spent in the CPU are not the same thing. The load average hit 1.5 but that just means the machine was busy, not swamped. To test a a vague theory here, I fired up X, Netscape, vmware (which is a massive CPU hog) and a bunch of shells and XEmacs, and ran a 10000 request benchmark. The machine ran smoothly, vmware didn't stutter or pause, X switched quickly between virtual screens, and XEmacs didn't even appear to feel it. I had that same question.. I downloaded and installed Amaya and started tinkering with some Zope objects. Unfortunately, I have bad news... o obviously, opening, for example, index_html gives you the rendered version -- a problem for even maintaining  type references which Amaya snarfs out. :^( o Then I tried creating a simple_content object and wrapping it in simple DTML refereces i.e.,    where simple_content contained only legal HTML. Unfortunately, Amaya saw that the content object lacked legal HTML headers and footers and provided them to me resulting in, for example, redundant HTML and BODY tags. o it does say that I could, ostensible after R'ing TFM plug in my own, more promiscuous, DTD and circumvent some of these issues o On the upside it seems MUCH more reliable on large/complicated PUTs than Composer -- possible making it a reasonable low-rent content authoring mechanism... It certainly _does_ keep the resulting HTML clean! --Rob
