Permissions to define in a sub Zclass ?

I'm trying to use/add some Zclass in a Zclass method, but I can't find the permissions I need to add. In a bug report, someone already reported the same difficulty (http://www.zope.org/Collector/444/view) but I couldn't manage to make it work with the given answer :-( As stated, when adding a Zclass in a Zclass method, it doesn't add automatically the needed permissions to allow the creation of that subZclass in an instance. In the product management, I edited the subZclass permission ('Permission tab') and added 'Add subZclassMeta', then I edited in the 'Define Permission tab' the field 'Create Class Instances' to be mapped on 'Add subZclassMeta'. But it didn't change anything, I still get a 'Resource not found' when I try to add the subZclass instance. Can anyone give me the correct procedure to follow to make this work ? An early shot at membership is in use on the new Zope.org beta site, but actually defining just what membership is (and more importantly, what it should be) has turned out to be _much_ more involved that it would seem at first glance. I can't give you a date or anything on Membership, other than to say that we haven't forgotten it (though the form it will take is still in flux). One thing I would like to start doing is maintaining a general "Zope Roadmap" on zope.org that tries to give a high-level summary of what is planned regarding Zope development for the next quarter or so. That way folks wouldn't have to immerse themselves in the list to determine what will be happening in the near-term. This will happen in the next few weeks, after 2.0 comes out. Hi everyone, can anyone tell me how to split strings at a specific character. I have got a variable that is made up of two parts seperated by a '&' and i need to split the string up. Has anyone got the code for this?? Thanks for your help, Wom.

Y2K statement for Zope?

Is a standard Y2K statement available for Zope 1.x and Zope 2?. At my site it's necessary to have these things on file for all software that's contained in corporate machines. Server specs.

Hi all, Regarding the comments I received, we decided to use following configuration for server. The server is connected on the intranet. It will run Zope, PostGresSQL (because I don't know if SyBase new versions will be free too) on Linux, RedHat 6.0 We've about 2000 Pc's which can have access to Zope OS are Macintosh or Windows About 150 (at the moment PowerMacs, later on NT) will run intensive queries on the server. These 150 should get the results very fast. About 500-600 will ask less intensive requests. The server has the privelage that it may be down for some time. So no expensive HD systems. However, the data is important and needs to be backuped. Specs : Pentium II : 400-450 Mhz Memory : 256 MB SDRAM (probably ECC) Hard-disk : >25GB Backup : * Now: Data doesn't change too much, we also need to make CD demonstrations : HP CD Rewriter (Does someone know about compatibility problems of these writers with Linux RedHat 6.0?) * Later, when system needs to be frequently updated ( > 1, 1.5 year from now) Does someone knows some supported backup systems for RedHat 6.0?
