Database Connections for ZOPE 1.10.3

ZOPE 1.10.3 I have two separate database connections to an oracle database. The connections are in separate folders and are attached to the same ORACLE database. Are there any hidden do's and don'ts for multiple database connections? Are the connections actually one in the same? Cookie max_age property

Here another question: Do you specify the max_age in seconds (ticks)? Is there any documentation, since the cookie specs at http://www.netscape.com/newsref/std/cookie_spec.html does not talk about it. Gadfly test release

Jeff Bauer suggested I forward this to the zope list because a number of people use gadfly with zope. Thanks! Please try one of the following files http://www.chordate.com/kwParsing/kwPtest.tgz (tar/gz version) or http://www.chordate.com/kwParsing/kwPtest.zip (zip version) I believe this replacement fixes the following longstanding bugs: -- multiline strings should be supported by sql parser. -- table creates should not require a commit before inserts work. -- unique indices should raise exception on non-unique insert. -- table create followed by a recreate shouldn't require a commit to work. -- an obscure recovery error which is hard to describe -- a server bug having to do with not handling poorly formed requests correctly. Also, the *.zip file has the correct version of gfclient.py unlike the current one. Also http://www.chordate.com/gfcontrib.html has the correct gfplus.py link now. Pleasy anyone try these replacements. The test suite http://www.chordate.com/kwParsing/indexbug.py demos that some of these bugs have been fixed (it will fail in several ways with the current version). If I don't hear complaints I will make this gadfly 1.01 in a week or so. The changes are mainly very small ones. convert #var sequence-item to integer?

Hello everyone. I'm trying to iterate over a list returned from a form using #in and the sequence-item DHTML variable to index other lists. It's the standard table of checkboxes thing to identify a group of rows to operate on. My DHTML is:   link_num = <br> link_title = <br> link_data = <br>   The error I get is "sequence index must be an integer". Zope doesn't seem to be converting the sequence-item variable into an integer before looking up the value in the list. If I change sequence-item to sequence-index, everything works (except for the fact it returns the wrong data (-:). Perhaps this whole list of items with checkboxes next to them structure should be turned into a pattern, object, or HOWTO item as it seems to pop up a lot of times in the mail archive. Of course, since 1.10.3 is not threaded you should take care not to do any really expensive queries. > Are the connections actually one in the same? Yep. Define a "virtual" field that returns a concatenation of all the real "fields" that you want indexed, then register that with the ZCatalog as the thing that supplies the text. The "virtual" field could be defined up above all the XML Documents and use the magic of acquisition to bind it to all the actual documents. You have a number of options for defining the virtual field. An external method is straightforward, or an DTML Method that used the wonderful, wonderful new  tag. Alternatively, and this is where it gets truly fun, you could start looking at giving your XML Documents a "brain".
