Hi, I'm new to Zope. My question is once I have added an image in Zope. Why when I refer to that object in a template the width and height are not in the code? How do I go about doing this? other than specify the height, width etc in <IMG SRC="MyImage" Width="1"....etc can anyone help me? - Mike

Help: Recursive querying

Hello, it is me again. I am finally at a point where I try to write my first application in Zope. My goal is to write a threaded Discussion Board. I did one before in Python using CGIs. Here is the supporting table in PostGreSQL: id int4 pid int4 date datetime title varchar(40) body text All messages that have pid 0 are root messages. The pid points at another row in the same table. It is very easy to write a recursive function to view a tree or a subtree of the message board. I wrote all all necessary Z SQL Methods. Here my problem: I do not know how to write recursive functions in Zope using the Z SQL Methods and external methods. Additional, to make it even harder, I want to use the tree tag to display the message tree. Here my Z SQL Method: ID: qry_msgs_by_pid Title: Query: Get all messages that the Parent Connection id: PyGreSQL_database_connection Arguments: pid:int Query template: select * from msg where  Can someone please help my out. I believe I still have some troubles understanding the philosophy of Zope, since I still think in CGI terms. :) I would love to write all my web applications in Zope. I read all the tutorials, but some of the examples are not general ot detailed enough to understand the "kernel" of DTML and Zope. AGENT CREATION - REMOTE SEARCHING - REMOTE FORM PROCESSING

One of the key elements of agent and spider creation is the ability to retrieve, parse and store remote objects. All of which Zope can handle very well. Has anyone explored Agent Creation and Remote Spidering in Zope? Here are my main questions? --------------------------------------------------- Can Zope interact with other servers as if it were a browser (crawler/spider/user)? Can Zope modify its identity(agent-detection parameters) to simulate a version of a browser? FACT: The interface to all of the current internet applications online are forms. I got the same error when doing something similar. I don't think you can say 'in "function"' Store the function to a variable first and then say 'in variable'. Donner

Update to Zieve...

Hi Folks, Just wanted to let you know that b2 of Zieve is on the Zope site: http://www.zope.org/Download/Contrib/Zieve.tgz This is now a stand-alone Zope2 product. It's a sorting 'helper' object, a little bit like TinyTables... but it doesn't actually contain any information/data, it just let's you sort it easily. You plunk a Zieve into any folder, tell it what meta_types to sort in that folder, what attributes to sort on and what the default sort order should be. try it! Let me know what needs to be fixed/changed... thanks, -steve

Problems with Confera

Hi there. I have some trouble getting Confera to do what I want, so I am wondering, am I doing it wrong, or isn't it possible ? What I want is, that all threads are always expanded, so the user does not have to open each thread to see if there are new messages. After reading the DTML Users Guide, I tried to add "?expand-all=1" to the URL, but that had no effect. So, is there any way to list all messages at once ?
