Versions and FTP access

OK, So now I have had the opportunity to mess around with versions a bit and discovered that while they appear to work really well when using the web access part of Zope, they don't appear to work at all when using the FTP access system. The changes file say the following for 2.0b4: "Draft objects are no longer supported." In fact, it says "Features Removed". Are you sure you're using b5? Perhaps you didn't wipe out your previous Zope before installing the new one. Anyhow, you probably don't want to use the Draft objects any more... Zope Drafts?

Hi, I just decided to start messing with Zope Drafts as the people in my office would be thrilled if I would breaking the tools they use each day. So, I created a draft of the folder that contains my biggest project. No problem there. However, when I clicked on the link, I got a Zope traceback, and now when I try to delete the Draft I get a traceback. I'm running Zope 2.0b5 on RedHat 5.2 with Python 1.5.2. -- Stand Fast, tjg. I suppose there isn't a dictionary because properties can be seen as dictionary elements themselves. Create a property for Title1 and another for Title2. environment variables

With Apache and CGI (Perl) I can use the following Script to show all environment variables. ------------------------------------- #! /opt/bin/perl print "Content-type: text/plain\n\n"; foreach (keys %ENV) { print $_.": ".$ENV{$_}."<br>\n"; } ------------------------------------- Can something like this be done with dtml? ...or should i use Python? Well, "environment variables" doesn't make a lot of sense in Zope, which does not, strictly speaking, have environment variables. The dictionaries provide titles or urls for the navigation :) Subtle difference. Anyway, I think I've found a way to do it. Not very elegant though = Create a 'lines' property called 'dico' eg. bio:Biohazard chem:Chemical Then in the DTML document use <dtml-in dico> <dtml-var "_.string.split(sequence-item,':')[0]"> <dtml-var "_.string.split(sequence-item,':')[1]"> </dtml-in> except I can't pass sequence-item to the Python expression :( By the way, is that really the way to use Python string services ? I tried <dtml-var expr="split()"> or <dtml-var "split()"> as per two different versions of documentation and it didn't work. That's what one calls a security misfeature? Depends on wether you mind that the whole DTML source code of your application is laying for the grab. When a similar 'feature' was found in Microsoft IIS it was dubbed a security breach, but then again, ASPs more often contain security sensitive information. I don't like it, for one. Being able to view a sites source code might reveal shortcomings in it that can be used to gain further access to your site. It might be that Zope has vulnerabilities as yet undiscovered. When thinking in terms of security, expect the worst. Okay, how about the source of your Z SQL Methods: Add getFindContent to the URL of a ZSQL Method, and you get the source, and this cannot be restrictable.
