MIME Tools Attatchments

I am having a lot of trouble with about 50% of the mail I send out of zope with text/html attatchments using the mime tag. Many people just get inline code, rather than an attatchment. I am mime clueless, so if anyone else has this problem, please share with me how you got around it. Someone had told me zope's mime tag wasn't sending out Mime version headers. Transactions support on MySql

Hello, I am a newbie. I have a few questions to ask. 1. From what I read, Zope supports transactions. If I want to use MySql as my backend database, can Zope still support atomic operations since MySql does not support transactions? 2. The project I will work on requires a lot of very customized reports to be printed on blank paper as well as pre printed form. I have used Delphi from my previous project. I used the report writter came with Delphi to design & print all sorts of report on all kinds of papers (blank, pre printed form, labels, etc). How can I produce reports for printing to pre printed form? 3. My project also requires barcode (Code39) printing on labels feed from dot-matrix printers. Where can I find barcode module or class for Zope? I would like to say thank you in advance for your answers, tips, or pointers. Zope and Apache

Hello, yes I found an awful lot of information about Zope and Apache. I use the Apache authorization. I protected /cgi-bin/Zope/. How can I get anonymous access? On a couple of occasions today, I've been greeted with a blank screen, and "Document: Done" in the Netscape 4.61 status bar; on a couple of other occasions, I've had the news articles, but none of the other screen furniture from around the sides. In all cases, hitting Reload fixed it. Peter.

newbie-dtml

For a news-page i need to dynamically deliver a snippet (say the first 200 letters or so) of the latest updated document in my "newsarchive"-folder. Initerating through the folder and finding the document, and displaying a link to it works like a dream, but how do i reference the content of the DTML-document ? I can extract properties, but how do i get to the content itself ?? I think it would be a good idea for everyone interested in this to take a look at the DAV Delta-V "Web Versioning Model" located on the website of the DAV working group: http://www.ics.uci.edu/~ejw/authoring/ I found this model pretty well thought out, and once the Delta-V group finishes baking this stuff we will be thinking about how to integrate the underlying model in Zope. When that day comes, we would get a couple of things "free": o support for a standard, documented web versioning model and automatic support for version-aware DAV tools o Zope infrastructure that would likely expose all of the elements of the versioning model required to do alternate implementations. Think of this like the ZODB interfaces, where you have a static public interface but can change the implementation to handle storage in different ways (ODB, RDB, etc). I can imagine a similar approach to versioning, where a well-defined interface and versioning object model would make it relatively easy to experiment with different back-end approaches. Note that I'm *not* saying that folks shouldn't experiment with doing their own things with versioning - I just want to relay some of the thinking that has gone on here at DC on the subject. Though we will probably not have the bandwidth to deal with this versioning model stuff in the immediate future, we want to make sure that the community knows where we are thinking of going in the hope that we can all move in the same general direction.
