Name of DTML file

Is there a way to find the filename of a DTML file that is used in a product via HTMLFile() ? I have tried various things, name(), _['__name__'], etc without success. What I am attempting to do is add some basic version checking to my dtml files and would like to be able to report the name of the file that has a problem as opposed to the URL, which may be different if the file is a reused snippet of dtml. The code looks something like this : <dtml-call "checkVersion( filename, version_no )"> <... more DTML code ...> Obviously, I can hardcode the name in each dtml file, but this is a potential maintenance problem. image id overlap?

Hi, zopes- I've got a standard_html_header that calls <dtml-var banner>. There is a banner in the root directory. There is a banner in a subdirectory, too. I assume that when index_html is called in the subdirectory, it should show me the different banner. When I switch directories, the image stays the same- but the alt text changes. When i view the image itself, it's what I want, not what gets shown. What gives? -- ~mindlace

I may be overlooking the obvious, but what am I doing wrong here? <dtml-tree content branches_expr="objectValues(['Folder', 'DTML Document'])" sort=order > <dtml-if expr="meta_type == 'Folder'"> <dtml-var title_or_id> <dtml-else> <dtml-if expr="id == 'fozcoa'"><dtml-var fozgif></dtml-if> <dtml-if expr="id == 'cnart'"><dtml-var cnartgif></dtml-if> [snip stuff that generates URL] <dtml-var title_or_id></a> The tree displays, but I cannot get the images (fozgif & cnartgif) to display. There is a document inside content with the id fozcoa and another with the id cnart. -- ~mindlace

Undo is no longer available

I don't seem able to undo anything anymore. One of my 'sub-managers' was renaming something and said he came across an error. I tried clicking the 'Undo' button and got 'System Unavailable' with this traceback;  <P> <hr width="50%"> <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <div align="center">Networked Learning Environment, Biomedical Sciences prototype </div> </body>  I've also found that I went over quota on the account that this Zope installation is running on...this is bad news, right? Zope buttons?

Are there ``Powered by Zope'' buttons with different sizes/layouts than the one we all have? At least one matching the ``traditional'' button layout started by Netscape would be cool (so that I can just make a row of uniform-looking buttons for Zope, Debian, the company and whatever else I want). Where is the new ZClass tutorial?

First let me apologize for writing to the list without changing the subject of an earlier reply to a posting in the digest. I have noticed recently that questions about ZClasses tend to go unanswered. People who enquire about the documentation of ZClasses are pointed to the out-of-date ZClass tutorial on the old server. Amos had previously announced that he had submitted an updated ZClass tutorial for approval, but the recent announcement of updated documentation did not include a reference to the ZClass tutorial. I have not noticed any recent postings by Amos, so I would like to ask DC publically about the status of the new ZClass tutorial. Help! All my <> are now ?

I've just been changing colours on a table on one of my pages in Zope and now all the code on my pages has ? instead of ?>, eg ?TABLE WIDTH=100%??TR? What have I done??? That works for ange-ftp in older emacsen. For the newer EFS mechanism here's my snippet of advice: XEmacs has an FTP client called EFS that makes FTP sites look like a local file system. The easiest way to use it is to put an entry like the following in the .netrc file in your local directory: machine my.server.com#9021 login myname password mypassword To save typing in a long site name, you can get EFS to recognize an abbreviation in the same way as the normal file functions. However, EFS is only normally loaded when needed so it won't spot abbreviations the first time an FTP site is accessed. I use UserDB and then just have other tables in my database with all the user info and user other sql queries to update/retrieve. This is not a very elegant solution however. The OO way is to put the info into the user object as described above. Basically a user should be a folder so that we can attach our own ZClasses or what ever to a user. This should also work with sessions, ie having storage in the user object that expires when the user logs off, or after a period of inactivity.
