Hi, How can a PythonMethod access an arbitrary object stored in the ZODB. ex: Myfolder myObject myPythonMethod myDTMLMethod myDTMLMethod: <dtml-var "myObject.attribute"> When I call it it return: "This is myObject attribute". Cheers... myPythonMethod: return myObject.attribute If I try it nothing happens! It seems I don't understand how namespaces work. beehive Calendar

Hi again! This is to anyone who downloaded the beehive Calendar. The README.txt was probably saved as readme.txt. Therefore Zope doesn't recognize it and won't show the README-tab in the product's management view. Please rename the file to README.txt and restart Zope. You should then find the German and English documentation to the product. Eliminating problems in beehive Calendar

Hi everybody! I've received some e-mails concerning a bug in beehive Calendar. The problem was Zope's case-sensitivity and WinZip's case-insensitivity. Concerning the icon-problem: See if the Calendar-directory is beehivecal. If so, change it to beehiveCal. That should eliminate the problem. Concerning the file TeamGoals.dtml: I've already changed the necessary parts of the Calendar Product and am working on another little problem. I will upload a new, corrected version tomorrow. Thank you sooo much! This is what I got. It's the same for me when I send. It comes out in plain text rather than an attatchment. No matter what encoding I use. So far there are only two mail readers the take it as an attachment. Yahoo! mail, and the one you used. Have you tried to send other documents out to people from Zope? The ODBC adapter implements a huge, complex, distributed object-oriented architecture in its code just to prevent you from seeing a clear, meaningful error message. *wink* Really, the error it spews out can mean anything -- from the data source being configured incorrectly to not being able to connect to the server. The adaptor doesn't tell you, and so nobody here can help you except tell you to check the ODBC DSN from another application -- Microsoft Query, a Delphi app, anything. (Using the mxODBC Python module is not recommended as it's not bug-free. Its author admitted to me that he had only tested it with Access; it didn't work fully with MS SQL Server until a couple of months ago.) What the adaptor should do, ideally, is to use SQLGetDiagRec() to iterate over the error diagnostics and build a list of SQL states, their error codes, and so on. It doesn't do this. (type: int set to initial value of 0) I think there's a more sophisticated way to make it but this one works. Are you passing the query a string or a DateTime object? If you are doing this: <form action="report"> <input name="date"> <input type=submit value="submit"> </form> into: <dtml-in Catalog> ... </dtml-in> Then you will get no results. This is because the 'date' index is storing DateTime objects, NOT strings. To get a result, you will need to pass the Catalog a query that contains an instanciated DateTime object: <dtml-in "Catalog(date=DateTime(date))"> ... </dtml-in> A very useful example of using dates can be seen on the zope.org advanced search page: <input type="hidden" name="date_usage" value="range:min"> <select name="date:date"> <option value="">Ever</option> <option value="">Yesterday</option> <option value="">Last Week</option> <option value="">Last Month</option> <option value="">Last Year</option>  <option value="">Last Visit ()</option>  </select> This uses a hidden form element (date_usage) to tell the Catalog to do a range search on the date index.
