How do I get a list of all methods in a ZClass from DTML ?

Hi ! Is there a way to get a list of all methods in a ZClass from DTML ? By this I don't mean the constructor methods, but the methods in Products/MyProduct/MyZClass/propertysheets/methods I have tried to walk to the methods with dtml-with calls, but it does not work. Unfortunately, ZCatalog also does not find the methods of ZClasses, so I wonder if the methods are actually hidden on purpose ? BTW: I want to document a Product, and for this I need the list of methods, and once I have that, also the content of the methods. TIA, Maik Röder

bug in GenericUserFolder

Hello everyone, I've discovered what appears to be a bug in GenericUserFolder and I'm wondering if someone else can verify it. (Who knows, it might just be me.) I'm running Linux on a 2.2.x kernel with a fresh source install of Zope 2.1.2 (w_pcgi). No problem there. Copying my old Data.* brings up my site with no problem. Immediately after that, I untarred GenericUserFolder 1.0.6, stopped the Zope server and restarted it to make GenericUserFolder available. My site became instantly unavailable with the following message: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. ImportError Sorry, a Zope error occurred. Advanced search with ZCatalog

Hi! I have a ZClass with several properties defined and indexed. Now I want to perform a search where the search term is matched against any of the properties. (So if I have say a title, summary and body property and my query term is "Test" any ZClass with Test in either title, summary ord body should be returned.) I've found some hints on this in the advanced search howto, that suggests performing multiple searches (one on each property) and concatenating the results. This seems rather clumsy and I wonder if there is any other possibility? Is there any documentation of the Catalog object? Can Catalog.searchResults() be of any use in this, and if so what's the meaning of its parameters? Regards, Markus

Hello all I have two servers one with 2.1.1 on and one with 2.1.2, all my content is on the 2.1.1 server. How do I get it on to the 2.1.2 server I have exported the file, but cannot import it.

mysqlUserFOlder question

from teh mysqluserfolder docs: ". Also, it is not possible to create/delete roles. That needs to be done using sql client." So this means that i need to add a role to the database manually, rather than through the interface. OK. is this an arbitrarily named role, or is it the 'mysqlUser' role that the product says it knows about internally?? (BTW, the .sql file distributed with mysqlUserFolder is missing a field- the EMail field doesn't get created, and so the product doesn't work until you fix it- easily done by editing the script, dropping the database, and readding it.) can someone give me a brief pointer? i'm plugging mysqluserfolder into squishdot, if that helps :) elijah

special user can't add ZClass

Hi everyone, Yesterday I finally unveiled the first semi-cool version of the Zope-powered site at my school district. Everyone is invited to check it out at at http://www.isd197.k12.mn.us/. At this point there are three major features that really use Zope. 1. A ZClass that we use to create news articles (a la Slashdot) for display on the homepage. (We decided not to use Squishdot for a couple reasons.) 2. The PostgreSQL-driven alumni database. 3. Dynamic news headlines using Site Summary. My student and I learned a ton working on it and we hope to really expand the features of the site over the next few months. The question: We have created a role called 'NewsPoster' that should be able to post news articles for publication and basically have no other privileges. I'm having a terrible time trying to tweak the permissions so this person can log in, let alone post articles. What should be checked on the security page? Obviously the person needs 'Add News Articles' (our ZClass), but anything else beyone what 'Anonymous' has? If you visit the site, you'll see the 'Submit news' link on the left. Maybe I'm using the wrong URL to add the article. I've got: <a href="/school_news/articles/manage_addProduct/NewsProduct/NewsArticle_factory/">Submit news</a> The /school_news/articles/ directory is where all the instances are stored. The default behavior of NewsArticle_factory is to add an instance. I'm stumped. Using MySQL DA

Everyone, i have downloaded ZMySQLDA, and MySQLdb-0.1.0. MySQLdb-0.1.0 has compiled and installed fine ( or seems to have, the _mysqlmodule.so being copied to the python/site-packages dir etc ). Then i tried to install ZMySQLDA. untarred in the correct place etc. Ran the make -f Makefile.pre.in boot, which seemed ok. But when i then try and run make i get the following errors, any one any ideas ? Unpack sequence of wrong size
