Is this a bug with multiple selection lists?

Hi all, I encountered some strange behaviour with multiple selection lists in the properties form. If I deselect all items and submit the properties I get the following error: Error Type: TypeError Error Value: string member test needs char left operand Is there a workaround for this? What's worse is that I need to use the "undo" function to get rid of this, because the properties tab doesn't work any more :( Greetings, Michiel Toneman -- >From a Sun Microsystems bug report (#4102680): "Workaround: don't pound on the mouse like a wild monkey."

Tree tag and External Method

Hi, Its possible to work with the tree tag and an External Method? What I'm trying to do is with the External Method, go get some objects that are in the filesystem, and with the tree I will display the tree of that objects. But if I use this code: <dtml-in obj_fs> <dtml-tree branches_expr="objectValues(['Folder', 'External Method'])" assume_children=1> <dtml-var sequence-item> </dtml-tree> </dtml-in> It will display the objects, but will repeat which on three times. Why? If I use: <dtml-tree branches_expr="objectValues(['Folder','External Method'])" assume_children=1> <dtml-in obj_fs> <dtml-var sequence-item> </dtml-in> </dtml-tree> If will display the objects, but which one will be repeasted six times!!! Why? The code that I have in obj_fs is: def obj_fs(self): import os lst=os.listdir("/var/spool/news/articles/") return lst Can anyone explain me why is this doing that? Why isn't this working? Another question. I need to go get the subobjects that are in the objects that I referred before. I think that I will not be able to do this just with the tree tag, but if that is possible, how can I do that? The result must be something like the Windows Explorer, when I click on the plus sign, it will display the subfolders of the object that I clicked. Can anyone help me with this? Its urgent!!! Hi, How can I know which link call a DTML Method? I have three links that are redirected to a DTML method. That DTML method will display the information that is referenced to one of the links. For example, if link one is clicked, the DTML method will display some information about that link. If the link two is clicked, the same DTML method will display the information about link two. Request for Advice

Hi all, Finally we're collecting data so that a project can get started... Seeing some data, I can get brainstorming on how to implement the portal. So, it's time to ask some general questions about how certain things should be handled. Brief introduction : 1000 'nds of information sheets need to be accessable through intranet. These sheets contain data in much of the same way. So we can define records and their fields. On top of these sheets several structured info rules are placed which help people to find the correct information sheet. (This is not a general search, because the search is fixed, ie. Problem1/Case1/SubCase2 will bring you to Sheet7) The view to these fixed search will also dependend on the person who is looking at the data. I'm thinking on following implementation ways. * Since the search is dependend on the person, I can best make use of the ZPTK? Is ZPTK already in stable release? Or is the ZPTK overkill? * The records will contain lots of data (several text-fields, other datafields, pictures, etc), so I'm thinking to make ZClasses for the data-sheets, instead of putting them in a SQL database. Is this a correct assumption? * The fixed-search are generally straight tables. A selection in one table will give another table etc, until only one possibility and thus results to the correct data-sheet. Since this is straight forward, I think to put these tables inside an SQL database. However is it possible to link SQL database to the ZODB in a good way (ie a selection in an SQL database is connected with an object in ZODB)? Is it perhaps also possible to create this sort of tables as ZClasses in the ZODB? All information is welcome! Regards, Tom.

problem w/images and uploading

I'm having an interesting problem w/images. Or, maybe it is a feature that I don't understand. If I add an image to a folder (call it Test01) and then view the image everything is fine. If I upload a new image to replace Test01 and then view the image it is the same as it was. If I rename Test01 to Test02 and then view the image it is the new image. If I rename Test02 back to Test01 and the view the image it is the original. This happens on Zope 2.1.4 (binary release, python 1.5.2, win32-x86) and Zope 2.1.4 (binary release, python 1.5.2, linux2-x86). Is this a feature? Query about traversal in ZSQL methods...

Hi all, I have a ZSQL method that I've made 'traversable' and URLs of the form http://server/ZSQL_Query/ENG201/show work beautifully. Problem is when I do something like http://server/ZSQL_Query/ENG20/show (ENG20 does not exist in the database). I get a Zope error saying that the resource or page cannot be found. Is there any way of getting around this?
