zclass instance "broken" on copy/paste?

I have a ZClass (Shot) which is nested beneath a container ZClass (Storyboard). I.e., an instance of Storyboard might be: Scene1 (Storyboard) - shot1 (Shot) - shot2 (Shot) - shot3 (Shot) ... For reasons that I cannot discern, copying and pasting instances of Shot does not work. I can copy them, but pasting creates a broken object: "This object is broken because the unknown product that created it is no longer installed or is installed incorrectly." I suspect the copy has in fact worked because the title in brackets is that of the source object. This is an isolated problem on my site. All other nested Zclasses work fine but I cannot pin down the difference. This is Zope 2.1.4. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Darran.

mod_pcgi2 for whole site

Weirdness... I've almost got mod_pcgi2 setup to serve my entire site fronted by Apache but I've run into one final snag. When I access the home page of the site I notice that the BASE HREF returned by Zope is saying its http://XXX/index.html/ Apparently Apache is appending the Index name for the folder? I tried Options -Indexes but this didn't solve it. Anyone have a valid configuration for this situation that I can take a look at? Thanks, ------- Jordan Baker -- jbb(a)spyderlab.com

More search engine woes

I'm not sure if this is a PTK-specific issue, but I'm starting to believe that it isn't. So I thought I'd post here with my problem and see if someone could possibly point me in the right direction. I also unsubscribed from the list recently, so please CC me with any replies. I'm using Zope on a student organization website which I am developing. Ideally I'd like for this to be an extremely popular community-driven site, so a working search engine would be a necessity. Additionally, I'd like to exclude unapproved items from searches so that only moderated content is placed in the queue of news items and ad banners which are being indexed. I'm also writing site-specific documentation which is intended to guide members through the process of creating news items, ad banners, etc., and I'd very much like to have this content indexed as well. Today I noticed that my search engine failed to produce any results. Searching for the letter 'e' didn't even reveal anything, which is unusual since E is the most common letter in the English language AFAIK. So I tried digging into the ZCatalog documentation, and poking around in the interface has confused me. I created a help folder, and added an advertising document which briefly explains how to create news items and such. Yet, I can't seem to get this item to appear in the ZCatalog. In fact, the only item which does appear is /Members/nolan, my PTK account page. Clicking on the "find" tab and checking the "all items" checkbox seems to imply that all items of every type on my site will be cataloged, but doing this always results in only one page being listed in the catalog. Is there some reason why the contents of help/ aren't being listed? Thanks a bunch. If I can provide any additional information then I will be glad to do so.

General ZOPE Programming Question

I want to do the following tasks A user enters a list of products. Such a list is equivalent to an order. Then i want the user to enter some things for each product. I don't want to implement DTML pages for each combination of products and i want to present one entry screen for each order. I tried the following approach: I created a Folder named 'Products'. In this folder i created subfolders named after the prducts code number, e.g. `4007', `4008'., .... In each of these folders i defined a DTML Method `New' which hholds the DTML code to create an input form fr this product. My plan is also to create methods named 'Display', 'Edit', .... so i can render the objects in different ways. In anotehr page i want to do something like: <dtml-in products> <dtml-var "URL1 + '/Products/' + _['sequence-item'] + '/New'"> </dtml-in> but this doesn't work. Nothing is displayed. I also tries <dtml-var expr="...."> and <dtml-call "..."> (the last one was pure desperation). So what's the correct method for implementig such a system?

Sybase and storing images

traversing up the level

I want to put in an <a HREF> link to a document that is up about two or three levels from the document referencing it. Do I use the PARENTS variable?
