DCoracle 1.3 and NCLOB problem

Reply-To: I have installed DCOracle 1.3 under Solaris 2.7, Python 1.5.2 and Oracle 8i. I have a testing table: docnum char(20) lang char(2) fulltext nclob I am trying to insert some unicode strings into the database. I have converted them using DCOracle.dbi.dbiRaw(). Ones that spring to mind are & [ ] and ( ) I think these only matter if they're on their own and not embedded in a word. Teh exception is [. which is a big no-no :( So, for exampel if you want to find and article with object['photo'] in it, try searching for: 'photo'] Let me know how you get on :-) Chris

Hello Zope has several formatting options for displaying date and time (appendix A Zope DMTL Ref). But sadly enough none of them for displaying the number of the week :-( Is there another Zope way ? Union of a few folders

I have some folders : news, events, activities, etc, which each of them have some items. The application will generate a list of them in reverse date order. This have been done. Now, I would like to add a new listing : to list all of them in reverse date order. i.e., I need to make a union of them first, then sort them. Is it possible to do this? Rgs, Kent Sin

Problem in constructing parameter for ZSQL Method

rendering a variable defining the name of a Zclass instantiation

I'm defining a variable in a let tag by dynamically creating the name of a Z Class instantiation. When I render the variable in a with tag <dtml-with "_[VariableName]" It throws a KeyError exception in careful_gettime() from DT_Util. If I hard code the same object name, it works just fine. I can't figure out how to render a variable that defines the name of an object that is not part of my DTML method. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chad

What's up with the format commands?

I'm trying to make a simple interface to create a subfolder without using the management interface. I'm using a form to get the title. I want the user to be able to use this to create a subfolder anywhere under a top folder, and I want all created folders to have the same index_html (which also links to the folder creation form), so I'm putting the form in the top and having the user reach it and index_html through acquisition. So, in my simplified tests, I have an index_html which contains this (all tree items are folders): <dtml-tree expr="PARENTS[0]" branches=objectValues> <a href="<dtml-var tree-item-url>/addFolderForm">addFolder</a><br> </dtml-tree> where addFolderForm is a form that exists only at the root of the tree and is acquired. addFolderForm is a dtml document, also acquired, which contains <dtml-call "manage_addFolder('testname')">. This is for testing, it'll eventually be a form that targets the document. Problem is, the tree-item-url prefix doesn't make a difference. An acquired document thinks it's at the acquisition source, not the acquisition destination, so the folder is created at the top, not at tree-item-url. There's workarounds for my particular problem, but I want to know if I can still use acquisition. In order of simplicity: I suppose I could send the tree-item-url as a query string to the dtml document, parse that into levels at the destionation dtml document, and put the dtml-call in a dtml-with for each level. That's more dtml than I want to know, I'd probably do that in python. I could add the folder creation form and index_html to the created folder at creation time, and not use acquisition, but I'd rather use acquisition.
