I was just seeing how tough it would be to create a propertysheet mapping object that would let you give properties a 'label' and an 'order' so that they can be used programatically in a user interface. Rreading again, I think you mean a complex property-type like a 'list' of 'lists'. Yeah, that would be nice. Where/how are Folders built?

Hello: I'm posting this again-- still in search of some clues. I'm creating a folderish object. When a new instance of this object is created, how can I get it to build some other objects inside itself? (mostly dtml-documents). I want this to be pretty much just like the folder object- that is, when you create a folder for instance, you can have it create a user folder at the same time. Where can see how this is being done? thanks for pointers, andy diller

Test of existance of attributes

The code below do not works as I through: when the attribute expiredate is not defined, it raise an error instead of display the sequence-item. How can I detect the existence of the attribute before comparision? Howdy, Given some clues driven by members of the list, Evan Simpson has posted a fix to a hanging bug in Zope. This fix can be found at: http://www.zope.org/Members/tseaver/Projects/HighlyAvailableZope/SpinningDe… If you are experiencing hanging problems, please apply this patch and see if they go away. If they don't, be sure to contribute some feedback at the above URL. -Michel

how to set permissions on zope objects?

i have created a few odjects in Zope and i need them to work for everybody. right now only the superuser (me) can use them. i have tried to change the permissions but even though the permissions look ok it doesn't work. maybe i just don't understand the permissions. what do they have to be set to to make the objects available to all? also, inheritance doesn't seem to be working on anything. why? thanks in advance. -<mike>-

Hi all, I have to to this: date - date = 20 days. (2000-5-5 - 2000-5-2 = 3 days) I checked Zope Quick Reference but couldn´t find a function which provide this. May someone has a python function and can give me this funktion.
