Hello, i get this error in both trying to import MySQLDA or to build the MySQLdb: Python 1.5.2 (#3, Mar 22 2000, 12:33:26) [GCC 2.7.2] on linux2 Copyright 1991-1995 Stichting Mathematisch Centrum, Amsterdam >>> import MySQL python: can't resolve symbol 'open64' python: can't resolve symbol '__lxstat64' python: can't resolve symbol 'fopen64' Traceback (innermost last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in ? ImportError: Unable to resolve symbol To arrive here i patched the MySQLmodule.c like suggested from Jo Meder in message 25783 and it works but i have this problem right now and i'm not able to solve it. Another problem

Hi all, as formerly mentioned I try to return checked out files from a version management system with Zope. The check out is done within an external method (mthCheckout) that returns the binary data prepended by an appropriate header, eg. Content-Type: application/vnd.ms-excel Content-Disposition: inline; filename="mytable.xls" <binary data> BUT: When I call the external method within a document that only contains the following line: <dtml-call "mthCheckout(file)"> the user is prompted to choose what to do with the data. If open with Excel is chosen, Excel gets not only the binary data but also the header as its input. What shall I do to get the correct behaviour? What I want is that the appropriate application is called inside the browser filled with the binary data. Zclass and manage_clone (a bit long)

Let me know what you think about it. (4) ZODB: I don't have anything that dynamically changes Zope's ZODB, that is, I don't upload files into ZODB (Do you?), I don't create more Zope users on the fly. In fact, I believe my site can run from a CD-Rom, if necessary. (5) Size of ZODB: my Data.fs is about 9 MB. (6) Uptime pattern: the maximum time I have run Zope is less than a week. Usually I restart it a few times a week. (7) Memory growth pattern: my Zope starts out with 7 MB in each of the 4 threads. It starts to climb up slowly, by the end of the day it reaches 18 MB per thread. After 3 days it climbs up to 38 MB. That's about 160 MB total. (No, I don't think the threads are sharing memory, because the Linux "top" command also tells me the percentage of memory usage.) (8) Performance: I have severe problem with SQLSession and Gadfly, and also some problem with SybaseDAv2. I think the performance problem is related to the RAM memory consumption, because when I clean up Gadfly (deleting non-used table records), the Gadfly performance increased substantially. (9) Database Management cache parameters: (from Zope's control panel) Total number of objects in the database 4285 Total number of objects in all of the caches combined 1533 Target size 400 Target maximum time between accesses 60 Flush Cache: Full Sweep and Minimize don't help to reduce the memory consumption. ------------------------------------------------------------ Please post back your site's info. And let us see if we can narrow it down a bit. Anyone else that has memory problem please also help us to narrow down the problem. Why do we need to narrow it down? PTK and GUF

Hello all, Maybe the problem is that I'm trying to use too many acronyms at once, but I'm having a problem using GUF, ZMySQLDA and PTK all together. Basically, I have a Portal up and going ok, and I have a Folder authenticated by a GUF against a MySQL database ok, but I want to have the Portal authenticate through the GUF. (I'm trying to get the portal up and running and integreted with an existing system, if you're wondering why) So I've got something like Zope |-GUFTest |-Portal But when I do http://zope/GUFTest/Portal it brings up the GUF authentication screen ok, but won't actually authenticate me. Is there something preventing Aquisition from handing the Roles found by the GUF to the Portal pages? I added roles in the GUF to match those in the Portal (Member, etc.), created a user in GUF with the same name as one in my MySQL database (to make sure the user folders were created properly) and then deleted the acl_users folder in the Portal. Does any of this sound like it makes sense? Any help anyone could offer would be of great use. Thanks! Monty

Database query -> HTML table

I'm trying to find a generic way to turn a database query into an HTML table the way the ZSQL Method's "test" routine does. Can't start 2.1.6

Hi everyone, I've installed Zope many times on my various Linux servers, but this one has got me puzzled. I'm working on a Mandrake 7.0 box here. I installed 2.1.6 and everything apparently compiled OK. manage from Opera on localhost

Better details: In Win98, I can connect to localhost and do everything just fine using IE. Opera (3.6.2) will run the site at localhost correctly UNTIL I attempt to go into /manage. At this point Opera shows the tree correctly in the left frame. The right frame will display the original 'public' page, not the list of items. Most clicks on the tree structure produces the same result (always the index_html page output). Occasionally a partial management page shows up but it difficult to duplicate. This means I need (for the moment) to use IE to manage my local Zope site. Does anyone have suggestions for making Opera work all the time? ---d1 Jerry
