Data persistence ?

Hi, This may be a newbie question :) I've build a form and I want to save the data entered in the form fields in a MySql database. So I build Form1. When the user presses "OK" he is taken to Form2, where all the info is presented, and he is asked to confirm if things are right. On Form2, I get the info from Form1 with <dtml-var name> Then the user presses "Confirm" on Form2, whose ACTION is a Z SQL Method. But the SQL can't access any info coming from Form1. What I'm doing wrong ? Thanks a lot, Fabio. PS: Sorry for my bad english :)

Stopping and starting zope?

I've got Zope 2.1.6 running on NT 4.0 as a service. Everything is doing good (gradually getting Zen). Is it ok to stop and start Zope using "net stop" and "net start", or do I need to manually go into Zope and use the shutdown feature. The reason why I ask this, is that I am going to be backing up this server everyday, and I need to stop Zope in order to backup the database I'm pulling info from, and also to backup data.fs Thanks for any input! strategies for starting zope on redhat

Hello A friend reports he cannot start zope automatically at boot on his new Linux RedHat installation, but that it works fine when he does it manually from shell prompt. Q1. Does anyone have any similar experience or advice about self-starting zope? Q2. Does anyone have a nice approach to make sure Zope re-starts if it shutdown remotely for whatever reason? Clarification needed: CGI and ZServer

Hi all, I'd like to clarify my knowledge of Zope serving. I run several Zope sites, some with Apache (using pcgi), some with ZServer on it's own. In addition, I also run some Zope sites using Roxen as a front end (again using pcgi). Am I correct in assuming that if I use Zope through the CGI interface, it *forces* ZServer to run single threaded? This from Ansers' excellent How-To on combining ZServer with Apache at http://www.zope.org/Members/anser/apache_zserver >The existing How-To's for combining Zope with the popular Apache >server mostly require you to use the CGI interface to Zope, instead >of the much faster, multithreaded ZServer. This incurs a big penalty >in startup overhead for each run of the CGI, and it forces single >threading of the Zope database. I'm aware of the benefits of using Apache for serving static materials, but my Zope sites have very little static material now. Is my reckoning correct? Is there anything I can do about it? Problems with FastCGI

Most of the time, FastCGI works fine. However, every few page views in a while it returns the following error page (I'm copying the page's source).
