image inclusion: empty ALT not the same as no ALT

Greetings I just noticed a problem with the `tag' method: If I insert an image with <dtml-var "some_image.tag (border='0', alt='')"> (nice because `width' and `height' are inserted automatically), I get an <img> element with NO `alt' attribute, instead of an `alt' atribute with an empty string as its value (alt=""). An empty `alt' value is important when using images for which it is best not to insert any alternative text in text browsers (decoration-only or redundant image links, for instance), because the absence of the `alt' attribute may not be equivalent to an empty value. In lynx, for example, the file name of the image (more precisely, the last component of the path in the `src' attribute) is shown (yuck) when no `alt' attribute is supplied. -- jmce: +351 919838775 ~ http://artenumerica.com/ ~ http://artenumerica.org/

i m using da zgadfly database and i m still trying to use this type of query SELECT * FROM table_name WHERE field_name LIKE 'test' but it s seems that zgadfly doesn t support da LIKE sql tag! anyone have an ID ???

Who has compiled _mysql.pyd?

I use to develop on linux, but in this moment I need to setup a Zope server on NT with ZmySQLDA 1.2.0. On linux I don't have problems to compile _mysqlmodule.so, but on NT I don't have a compiler nor experience. Anyone has already compiled _mysql.pyd for NT? Can I have a copy of _mysql.pyd?

Facing problems with date datatype

Hi All, I am facing problem with date datatype. I have installed two versions of zope on diff computer. One is a zope 2.1.2 from a binary release and another is zope 2.1.6 i downlodaed as a source release. I am able to get MySQL database connection for source release and not for the one i downloaded as binary. Now my problem is when i want to insert a datatype in properties of a folder I wporks well with my binary release and not with the one i installed from sourece. My binary release one takes all of the following formats such as Jan. 07, 2000 jan. 07, 2000 2000/01/07 January 07, 2000 but the one which i compiled fro source takes none of them instead throws following error. Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Is DTML a bastardized form of XML, or valid XML?

Hi, just wondering if DTML is actually a valid form of XML, or a bastardized version of XML created specifically for ZOPE. I've done a little reasearch on XML, and I it seems like DTML tags such as: <dtml-var "..."> or <dtml-if "..."> ... <dtml-else> ... </dtml-if> aren't really valid XML forms. The following would make more sense: <dtml-var expr="..."/> or <dtml-if expr="..."> ... <dtml-else> ... </dtml-else> ... </dtml-if> Anyone care to enlighten me? Thanks, kh

new product: NISUserFolder

I've created a new product similar to etcUserFolder that authenticates against an NIS database. http://www.zope.org/Members/jfarr/Products/NISUserFolder/ This also improves upon the etcUserFolder product by defining a separate role for each user group, allowing more fine-grained control of which users have which permissions. I've submitted a patch to the collector containing these same changes to etcUserFolder. If DC decides not to include them I'll release this as a separate product.
