iterating through ids and getting their properties

Hello all, I have a list of ids which correspond to instances in a folder. I want to iterate through the list and display their properties. ZSearch not searching hard enough

hi, i have set up a ZCatalog to index one particular ZClass. the ZClass is basically a DTML Document with some extra properties. I have set up the ZSearch interface and the ZCatalog correctly and it works nicely when searching some of the properties but not at all for others. for example, i can search by the "Author" property but searching on ID always returns nothing even when i know the ID exists. there are 14 indexes in the catalog and they all contain the right number of objects when i look at the ZCatalog's Status tab. so why doesn't the search return these? thanks -<mike>-

Selection Property

I have a property sheet with a selection property "band" with value "bandlist". I created an instance of the class in a Zope folder and created the bandlist method in the same folder. When I go to the property sheet of the instance the selection is not populated. My bandlist method looks like this: <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('bndlist',[])"> <dtml-in "objectItems('Band')"> <dtml-call "bndlist.append(name)"> </dtml-in> <dtml-return bndlist> If I view the method it returns the list eg: ['item1','item2','item3']. In a form I've saved the id of a folderobject in the variable OB and send it to the page "ZClassaMaker". secure management with Site Access?

Is anyone using the Apache/mod_proxy/SiteAccess method of using Zope with the ability to access a given virtual host both with and without SSL encryption? If so, can you give me some pointers on how to accomplish this? I'd like to use SSL for all of my management activity but have the main site be available for non-encrypted viewing. The 'SiteRoot', though, will only rewrite the URLs with either 'http' or 'https', and isn't smart enough to do one or the other depending on the form of the original request. Is what I want to do even possible, or will I have to resort to using some sort of PCGI solution to accomplish my goal? thanks, rob

Nested properties (addition)

I forgot something: > By the way: Is it possible to insert special characters in properties, like ä? I meant, that properties with special characters in it are not displayed correctly, when called with the shortened syntax &dtml-VARNAME;. Are special characters not allowed in the short syntax? Been there, done that, still no luck :) But in the dtml source for properties it says getProperty(select_variable). If I populate a lines type property in the current folder and then do <dtml-return myProperty> it works. Roché

Edit Window size limit on Netscape communicator 4.7
