Question about Versioning support

I noticed that Zope does provide some versioning control through WebDAV, but it seems to only work for text files (.html, .txt, etc.) When I copy a .doc file or other binary doc to to one of my webfolders, and then I go look at it in Zope, the History tab does not appear. It does when the file is of type .txt. or .html or any other text format. I read about the ZopeVersion project but that is a long way off. If there is a way to turn on versioning for non-text files (the way Xythos web server implements DAV & Delta-V) that would be great! Thanks! Hello some new Material about my Problem: I have set up a Zope-Python-Scipt called 'GetMallMerchantID' which is called from an external Server. This Scipt starts, but holds until an other (independent) Python-Script called 'Dispatcher' ist ready. 'GetMallMerchantID' does some Log in a SQL-Database. Are there the simultanous ZODBC requests limmited? What can be the reason? Problems with permissions

Goodmorning, I'm having some problems with adding a new product to a website. I can add the product in my test-folder, but not in the website. It isn't shown in the list with addable products. I think it has something to do with the permissions. Keyerror with Data.fs

Suddenly as of today, I am getting the following error with a folder in our data.fs. Any ideas why this might have started happening, and secondly, what are my options? Any ideas on how it might have happened? What's strange is that we have been doing relatively heavy development out of the data.fs. Interestingly enough, another programmer is working in a version and inside of that version, this folder is fine. Now, I'm a little afraid to cut in the version work. all dtml rendering as source after 2.4 upgrade (heelp)

This is bizarre.. upgraded from 2.3.x to 2.4.2. Zope seems to be running fine except that all DTML is shown in source mode - my own methods, the ZMI etc. Purged and reinstalled a clean zope 2.4, fired it up again with my old data.fs, same thing. Anyone got any ideas why this could happen or how to fix ? Short of downgrade, export, upgrade, import ? Thanks in advance, -Simon

sql-method and dates

Hi, I'm trying to select values of type date from an interbase-database. When i create a 'z sql method' i get an error - it's compaining the type 'date'. How can i solve this problem? Zope & PIL: ImageFile name conflict

Using PIL 1.1.2 from within Zope 2.4.2 (python 2.1): the following call works from the command line but fails for me within Zope, font = ImageFont.load('/usr/lib/python2.1/site-packages/PIL/Images/base_pil/300/Verdana_10_300.pil') The open method in PIL's Image.py tries to open an image file (the corresponding Verdana_10_300.pbm file). It attempts to create an ImageFile object, which it should be importing from PIL/ImageFile.py but instead is getting App/ImageFile.py from Zope. How can I resolve this naming conflict?

Inserting objects in acquisition chain

Hi, in a python product, I want to insert an (folderish) object into the namespace like this: parent_object subobject Now I want that parent_object behave like subobject would be it's sq_parent, all other things should stay the same (acquisition from objects higher in the tree etc...). No other bells and whistles needed, I need exactly what I depicted above. Any hints? cheers, oliver
