adding zclass instances via dtml

Probably I'm overlooking something very obvious, but I can't find out what. I fail to add a zclass instance through dtml. I can add it in any folder I want using the management interface though, but the dtml fragment below raises an AttributeError with error value 'OLEenheid', which is the metatype of my zclass. Traceback see below. User profile management product

Hi there, I need to manage user profiles, where "user" can stand either for an anonymous visitor or for an identified visitor. In other words, I need a session tracking product that: -allows the visitor to become a member, log in, log out, etc. -allows to store and retrieve visitor profiles. CoreSessionTracking can't do that, and I don't need a complete content management framework, as all I want to manage is user profiles. Anyone knows a product matching my needs? Thanks, Benjamin.

createInObjectManager and Zclass basics

Where can I find good documentation on ZClass basics, I've read the tut and can set it up, but where can I find API reference from the functions it's calling such as createInObjectManager and managePropertySheet_edit(I think that's one) Neway, I need more detailed documentation and I'm really at a loss. [SQL] Retrieving info from the previous SQL insert

I have a SQL method which performs an INSERT in one table, followed by an INSERT into another table. The two INSERTs have to be in the same method because they need to be atomic. In the first table, there is an auto-incrementing field that the PostgreSQL DBMS assigns itself. I need the value of that field for the second INSERT and I don't see how to retrieve it inside the SQL method. Yes, I'll read more deeply PostgreSQL documentation and Zope documentation and <dtml-var my_postgresql_zope_adapter> documentation but, in the mean time, if someone has a ready-to-use solution?

Zope 2.4.3 crashing continually

I'm having continual crashing problems with Zope 2.4.3 running on Solaris. I first noticed it when loading the management interface would sometimes give error pages in one or more of the frames. Checking the Control Panel, the uptime would be under a minute; the server had crashed and the zdaemon had restarted it. Has anyone else seen this sort of problem? I turned on the error log, and it shows that the server is going down fairly often, sometimes several times per hour, with an Aiieee and an error code of 256. I was reading somewhere that that indicates that some Product had exited. The only non-distribution product I have installed is the latest DCOracle2; might that be causing it?

WebDAV or FTP "type"s?

I asked this before, as part of a longer email, but got no response. How do I specify the "type" for objects which are uploaded via WebDAV or FTP? That is, I want *.html (or *.css or *.js) to be something other than a DTML Document (or DTML Method). Where do I specify that? Also, I want *.jpg and *.gif to be something other than "Image". This is the core question for using Zope to solve my clients' problem. Thank You, Derek Simkowiak dereks(a)realloc.net
