Is there some mechanism for voting on bug reports in the collector? I have run up against issue #53 in a project I am working on, and I'm stopped until it's resolved. It would be nice to have some way to add a 'me too' message to distinguish obscure issues from ones that are affecting many people. That way they could be better prioritized.

I try to import a file.zexp which is an exported folder. The browser doesn't stop trying to import, but nothing happens. The file is about 2mb of size. After about 10 minutes I stop the import. No traceback or error message. Ok, found the start Icon and clicked it. Got a Dos box. It seemed to do nothing. Then I clicked the link I was given below. I got messages that said a new Zope disk had been detected. It seemed that I was talking to a Zope program somewhere and it was trying to assign me a spot. I think the word socket came up a few times. Each time there was a consecutive number, 8020, 8021,8022 ect. I was expecting a screen from a web page like I had seen on a tutorial. Unfortunately I cannot find that tutorial now. Is this something I operate from a dos box? Or should I get a web page when I click the link below? Thanx John Q. P.S. Oh yes, does it matter that I am in Hungary? Tracert times going through London and New Jersey can be pretty slow. 600 to 800 ms .Could that be part of the problem? Still lost

Glad to hear I can do a lot without coding in Python. However I am still lost. Url's did not work for me. I am running windows 98. Zope Website folder? Is that a folder on the Zope web site or a folder titled website in what I dowloaded? If the latter I cannot find it. Zope runs as a service?? You mean Zope becomes my ISP? Or something like that? Still lost, but encouraged to hear that it is easier than Python. I am getting somewhere with Python, slowly. So I guess I might somewhere with Zope not so slowly. If only I can install it and find the start button. :) *********************************************************************************************************************************** Zope normally runs as a service - the only thing you get to see is the web (and other server) interfaces - try:- http://localhost:8080 - for a quick intro http://localhost:8080/manage - for the management interface This is assuming you are on Win NT or 2K and you local machien resolves to localhost (if not try substituting 127.0.0.1 for localhost in the above URLs), and have chosen to run Zope as a service - if it's not running as a service or you are on Win 9x, look for start.bat in the Zope Website folder, run that and try those URLs... --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!?
