We are running Zope 2.2.0 on WindowsNT 4.0 SP5. >From time to time we get this error that halts everything. adding zclass instance dynamically

Hello, how can I add a ZClass depending on a form value? I have a form variable called "type" which contains the type of ZClass I want to add: the "static" way is (working): <dtml-with "manage_addProduct['MyObjects']"> <dtml-with "article1.createInObjectManager(id, REQUEST)"> <dtml-call "propertysheets.Basic.manage_editProperties(REQUEST)"> </dtml-with> </dtml-with> now the form variable "type" either contains the string "article1" or "article2". but calling <dtml-with "_[type].createInObjectManager(id, REQUEST)"> doesn't work. what's the right way to do this? thanks --Oliver

Changing DBA, how to make SQL methods to auto-update

HI all I just changed my DBA from PyGres to PoPy. It happens that I have to manually open each SQL Method (old Pygres SQL methods) and hit "save the changes" one by one in order for the new DBA to be recognized. Question is: Is there a way for SQL methods to auto-recognize that the DBA actually changed and automagically update themselves? This would save lots of time, otherwise we got to run through lots and lots of SQL methods across our sites. Any advice is appreciated. Felipe Barousse

How can I call a dtml-method from a button's onClick? I have a form with a submit and a "delete" button that I want to link with a dtml-method. Thank you.

Upgrading to 2.3.0 from 2.2.0

Anyone had any bad experiences with this? I want to upgrade to 2.3.0 on both a Linux (RedHat 6.2) platform and an NT4 platform from 2.2.0 but want things to go smoothly. I've read the upgrading info on zope.org but want to get the opinions of fellow Zopers so I know what to watch out for. Any advice much appreciated. Problems running a Xron method

Anyone fooled around with Xron? I've got a DTMl method sitting in a folder that seems to work fine. When I copy the code into a Xron method and trigger it, though, it doesn't seem to work. i suspect some sort of Namespace trouble, but I'm not sure. -- thanks -- Chris

I just wanted to share how we're using Zope & WebDAV: We use it to share some .pdf, .html, and .doc files for procedures and documentation within my department. I have installed the FileFolder Product, which allows easy FTP & WebDAV sharing of file objects. It works great. It is especially easy in Windows 2000. Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: MemoryError Error Value: Out of memory while compressing data I get this when I try to add a SQUISHDOT site and on the unix box I get the following message UNIX socket: /usr/local/zope/var/pcgi.soc no mem for new parser I am using Zope 2.3.1b1, Python2.0 on freebsd4.2 Any ideas, would the problem be with SQUISHDOT or Zope Thanks Norman

OT: Using images to post a form

Hi all, A slight off-topic request. I want to replace buttons with images to post a form (for more than just cosmetic reasons), does anyone know how it would be done? Can something like an onClick=document.Form.submit() work here and tell zope to read the request? Thanks in advance, Paul Zwarts
