Hi, I have used dtml-sendmail with multiple To: addresses,fetched from the database without any problems. After you fetch the email Object list from the data Base, convert the object List into a list of strings and join the list with commas.Then use the dtml-sendmail tag to send the mail. You can do this,assuming your sql_query returns a list of Emails. Assuming that your query is called sql_get_emails,and it contains a field called email,do this, <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('mylist',[])"> <dtml-in sql_get_emails> <dtml-call "mylist.append(email)"> </dtml-in> <dtml-let mailString="_.string.join(mylist,',')" > Now use this mailString to send the mail. I do this,after fetching mailString, <dtml-sendmail smtphost="mail.pepco.no"> To: <dtml-var mailString> From: <dtml-var from> Subject: <dtml-var subject> <dtml-var body> </dtml-sendmail> </dtml-let> I hope that you dont get frustrated after this. Sendmail part 2: Now I get a space seperator error

Sorry to be a pain but... I changed my dtml by hard coding the "To:" list, now I get this error: SMTPDataError Error Value 501, space seperator provided without argument Here is a simplified version of the dtml I'm using: <dtml-sendmail mailhost="MailHost"> to: ssmith6(a)bigpond.net.au from: ozrail(a)bigpond.net.au subject: OzRailfan report <dtml-in dbGetRumourByID> Original report submitted by <dtml-var "pyStrip(fullname)"> at <dtml-var submissiondatetime>: <dtml-var description> </dtml-in> Follow up submitted by <dtml-var "pyStrip(fullname)"> at <dtml-var submissiondatetime>: <dtml-var description> </dtml-in> </dtml-sendmail>

Jacintha, I would appreciate it if you didn't send me private mail unless I ask you to, thanks. The problem is that your question is not about Zope it's about PostgreSQL. The tables you're moving are held in PostgreSQL. You have already done the Zope bit, you say you have imported the 'folder which implemented the tool'. coping database tables

Hi, Kindly let me know how to copy database tables from on Unix server to the other. We are using the same postgreSQL database on both the servers.When we gave pg_dump command it gave permission denied. Thanks, jacintha

Quick answer: Add a line similar to the following to the end of /etc/rc.d/rc.local: /usr/local/zope/start & This will take care of starting it up automatically. Longer answer: If you want to do it "properly", with init.d scipts, etc. (so it also shuts down automatically on system shutdown, for instance), this howto: http://www.zope.org/Members/jec/startstop_howto_html is very useful in this respect. It describes a scheme to allow you to start and stop multiple instances of Zope. Part of this scheme is a good, working, set of scripts to manage startup & shutdown. If you want to have just one instance, just make sure the "instances" file (described in the howto) has a single entry, and that the "instance_name" for that entry is just "." (ie a single dot). This is what I've done, and it seems to work fine. Documentation of a custom Zope Installation

Hi! Has anyone some experience on documenting a zope installation? Documenting what dtml-method is called, where are this var declined? I have to do the documentation of the whole structure. Which tools are best for this process? (Nassi Sheidermann, UML, ...??) or is there any literature about this on the net? Thanks in advance Stefan

propertyIds() of a ZClass propertysheet

How do I get the propertyIds() of a ZClass propertysheet (class, not instance) ? I have a ZClass with 90 properties, and I'd like to contain instances of these in a another ZClass (group container). From this container I'd like to make a manage page that can edit a user selected subset of properties in the contained ZClasses. So I thought that I could make a multiple selection (list) field in the container class, that select the properties I'd like to work with. To make it short - how can I access the ZClasses (products) definitions. Regards
